  Experimental group: 15 individuals aged 15 to 20 with intellectual disabilities, intervention once a week, pre-sport program, 30 minutes, with a trotting horse. Prior to the first appointment, after the 10th and 20th appointments, participants were assessed for balance using the CTSIB test (Clinical Test of Sensory Integration of Balance), posture using the Postural Analysis Software (SAPO), muscle strength through the sit and stand test and dynamometry) and muscle electrical activity using the surface electromyography. Single-arm.

  Grupo experimental: 15 indivíduos de 15 a 20 anos com deficiência intelectual, intervenção uma vez por semana, programa pré-esportivo, 30 minutos, com cavalo ao trote. Anteriormente ao primeiro atendimento, após o 10º e 20º atendimentos, os participantes foram avaliados quanto ao equilíbrio por meio do teste CTSIB (Teste Clínico de Integração Sensorial do Equilíbrio), a postura por meio do Software de análise postural (SAPO), a força muscular por meio do Teste de sentar e levantar e dinamometria) e a atividade elétrica muscular por meio do eletromiográfo de superfície.   Individuals with fifteen years old and maximum twenty years old; both genders; be regularly enrolled at APAE/Uberaba-MG; ability to understand verbal commands and medical diagnosis of intellectual disability; informed Consent Form signed by parents and/or guardians
