  This is a randomized, double-blind, two-arm clinical trial. Experimental group: 50 individuals of both sexes, aged between 18 and 50 years, with temporomandibular dysfunction will undergo finger pressure techniques on the temporal, masseter, sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles, which will last a total of 1 hour, twice a week, for 4 weeks, totaling 8 sessions. Control group: 50 individuals of both sexes, aged between 18 and 50 years, with temporomandibular dysfunction will undergo placebo finger pressure techniques on the temporal, masseter, sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles. In this group, the mobilization movements will be simulated, but without the actual application of the minimum pressure necessary to produce possible effects, which will last a total of 1 hour, twice a week, for 4 weeks, totaling 8 sessions. Patients will be randomly divided into groups and only the evaluators who will perform the interventions will know which group each patient belongs to, that is, neither the evaluators who will perform the assessments nor the patients will know which group each patient belongs to

  Trata-se de ensaio clínico randomizado com dois braços, duplo-cego. Grupo experimental: 50 pessoas, de ambos os sexos, com idade entre 18 e 50 anos, com disfunção temporomandibular passarão por técnicas de dígito pressão nos músculos temporal, masseter, esternocleidomastóideo e trapézio, que ao todo terão duração de 1 hora, 2 vezes por semana, durante 4 semanas, totalizando 8 sessões. Grupo controle: 50 pessoas, de ambos os sexos, com idade entre 18 e 50 anos, com disfunção temporomandibular passarão por técnicas placebo de dígito pressão nos músculos temporal, masseter, esternocleidomastóideo e trapézio, neste grupo será feita a simulação dos movimentos de mobilização, mas sem a efetiva aplicação da pressão mínima necessária para surtir possíveis efeitos, que ao todo terão duração de 1 hora, 2 vezes por semana, durante 4 semanas, totalizando 8 sessões. Os pacientes serão divididos nos grupos de forma aleatória e só os avaliadores que realizarão as intervenções saberão a qual grupo cada paciente pertence, ou seja, nem os avaliadores que realizarão as avaliações, nem os pacientes saberão a qual grupo cada paciente pertence

  To assess whether the implementation of manual therapy techniques can be effective in reducing pain intensity and improving mobility in patients with temporomandibular disorders. Verification by the methods Numerical Pain Scale (NPS), which is a numerical scale in which a line with numbers from 0 to 10 arranged horizontally in increasing sequence is drawn on it, and the patient is then asked to evaluate and mark on the line the number of pain at that moment; DC/DTM questionnaire, in which axis I will be used, which classifies patients into three groups, muscular DTM, articular disc displacements, and the following questionnaires and tests will be used: TMD Pain Screener, Symptom Questionnaire, Demographics, Pain-related Interview and Examination Commands, Clinical Examination Form (FDI), Decision Tree, Diagnostic Criteria Table, to assess reports of pain and symptoms; axis II of the same will also be used to assess pain, functional limitation, with the following questionnaires and tests Pain Drawing, Graded Chronic Pain Scale Version 2, JFLS-8; mandibular mobility index that analyzes the mobility of the jaw in the opening, laterality and protrusion movements, for each item three values ​​are given (0, 1 and 5) to be scored according to the clinical evaluation, finally a sum of the values ​​is made and the patients are classified as without TMD symptoms (0 points), mild symptoms (1 to 4 points), moderate (5 to 9 points) and severe (10 to 25 points)

  Avaliar se a implementação de técnicas de terapia manual pode ser eficaz na redução da intensidade da dor e melhora de mobilidade de pacientes com disfunções temporomandibulares. Verificador pelos métodos Escala Numérica de dor (END), que é escala numérica na qual desenha-se uma linha com os números de 0 a 10 dispostos horizontalmente em sequência crescente sobre ela, pede-se então, para que o paciente avalie e marque na linha a numeração de dor naquele momento; questionário DC/DTM, no qual será utilizado o eixo I, sendo que este, classifica os pacientes em três grupos, DTM muscular, deslocamentos do disco articular, e serão usados os seguintes questionários e testes TMD Pain Screener, Symptom Questionnaire, Demographics, Pain-related Interview and Examines Commands, Clinical Examination Form (FDI), Decision Tree, Diagnostic Criteria Table, para avaliar os relatos de dor e sintomas; também será utilizado o eixo II do mesmo, para avaliar dor, limitação funcional, com os seguintes questionários e testes Pain Drawing, Graded Chronic Pain Scale Version 2, JFLS-8; índice de mobilidade mandibular que analisa a mobilidade da mandíbula nos movimentos de abertura, lateralidades e protrusão, para cada item são dados três valores (0, 1 e 5) para serem pontuados de acordo com a avaliação clínica, por fim é feita uma soma dos valores e os pacientes são classificados em sem sintomas de DTM (0 pontos), sintomas leves (1 a 4 pontos), moderados (5 a 9 pontos) e severos (10 a 25 pontos)
