  This is a randomized, single-blind crossover study, with the Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (PENS) condition itself and the Placebo condition, which will determine the conditions will be the size of the needle, time and intensity of the electrical stimulation, the two conditions will be separated by 7 days. The sample is made up of para-athletes who require greater physical effort from the upper limbs. Since the objective is to recruit 20 volunteers, they will be recruited based on convenience and the evaluator's judgment for inclusion in the research

  Trata-se de um estudo randomizado cruzado, simples cego, ocorrendo condição Estimulação Elétrica Nervosa Percutânea (PENS) propriamente dita e condição Placebo, o que irá deferir as condições será o tamanho da agulha, tempo e intensidade da estimulação elétrica, as duas condições serão separadas por 7 dias. A amostra é formada por paratletas que exigem maior esforço físico dos membros superiores. Sendo o objetivo recrutarmos 20 voluntários, os mesmos serão recrutados por conveniência e julgamento do avaliador para inclusão na pesquisa

  Paralympic athletes selected based on convenience and the evaluator’s judgment; athletes participating in sports with high physical demands on the upper limbs; both sexes; age over 18; having a myofascial trigger point being diagnosed through clinical examination; have participated in competitions at state level; national or international in the last year

  Signs of cervical radiculopathy and positive Spurling test; severe cervical regenerative disc disease; direct trauma to the dorsal cervical region or shoulder in the last 90 days; major depression; suspected cancer; complete tear of the rotator cuff muscles; antiplatelet or anticoagulant therapies other than aspirin; pregnancy
