  The volunteers are submitted to 24 sessions of repetitive transcranial magnetic electrostimulation (rEMT), 10 Hz, about 20 minutes, active or sham, on the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, for 8 weeks, with 1 session per day, performed 3 times a week. Randomization was generated by the Sealed Envelope - online randomization for clinical trials (www.sealedenvelope.com) - where the codes of the randomized numbers are placed in brown, sealed envelopes, with the patient's entry sequence number on the outside of the envelope. Randomization takes place in blocks in sizes of 4, stratified by sex, for two groups (n=25 active, and n=25 sham). Masking is double-blind for transcranial magnetic electrostimulation.

  Os voluntários são submetidos a 24 sessões de eletroestimulação magnética transcraniana repetitiva (rEMT), 10 Hz, cerca de 20 minutos, ativa ou sham, sobre o córtex pré-frontal dorsolateral esquerdo, por 8 semanas, sendo 1 sessão por dia, realizado 3 vezes por semana. A randomização foi gerada pelo Sealed Envelope - randomização online para ensaios clínicos (www.sealedenvelope.com) - onde os códigos dos números randomizados são colocados em envelopes pardos, lacrados, com número da sequência de entrada do paciente na parte externa do envelope. A randomização se dá em blocos em tamanhos de 4, estratificado por sexo, para dois grupos (n=25 ativo e n=25 sham). O mascaramento é duplo-cego para a eletroestimulação magnética transcraniana.

  Adult volunteers; 18 to 59 years of age; of both sexes; diagnosed with obesity to any degree for body mass index (BMI)

  Eutrophic, overweight and malnourished volunteers for BMI; who have contraindications to rEMT or have received rEMT in the last 12 months; who present any head injury, previously documented epilepsy, presence of psychiatric disorder (schizophrenia and bipolar disorder); who have metal implants in their heads; who use or have used anti-obesity drugs (sibutramine, topiramate, orlistat and liraglutide) in the last 3 months; who are addicted to illicit drugs in the last 5 years; who have Cushing's Syndrome; who are pregnant or breastfeeding

  It is expected to find a reduction in subjective levels of hunger and increased satiety in obese patients, verified by the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), from a reduction in measurements of 60% comparing sham group and treatment
