Interventions

• Interventions:

  This is a single-blind, randomized controlled clinical study In which patients will arrive by spontaneous demand, and according to the order in which they accept to participate in the research, they will be randomly selected which type of diet/intervention they will begin the dietary treatment with. Group 1, made up of 300 people, will have intervention with the cardioprotective diet; and group 2 will also consist of 300 individuals who will follow the low-calorie diet. The total sample will consist of 600 participants, being adult men and women, over 20 years old, hypertensive, with a proven diagnosis, with at least 3 criteria for classification of Metabolic Syndrome, with an increase in waist circumference (WC) as a mandatory criterion. , according to the International Diabetes Federation. In the experimental group, participants will receive guidance and a cardioprotective diet (Dica-BR) and will be followed for a period of 2 months. And in the control group they will receive the low-calorie diet and will also be followed for a period of 2 months. When evaluating adherence to the diet, biochemical tests will be repeated (fasting blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, total cholesterol, HDL-c, LDL-c, Triglycerides, CRP, HOMA-IR, Insulin) and will undergo a new anthropometric assessment.

  Trata-se de um estudo clínico randomizado controlado, unicego. No qual os pacientes chegarão por demanda espontânea, e de acordo na ordem que aceitarem participar da pesquisa, irão ser sorteados qual o tipo da dieta/intervenção que irão iniciar o tratamento dietético. O grupo 1, formado por 300 pessoas, terá a intervenção com a dieta cardioprotetora; e o grupo 2 será composto também por 300 indivíduos que seguirão a dieta hipocalórica. A amostra total será formada por 600 participantes, sendo homens e mulheres adultos, maiores de 20 anos, hipertensos, com diagnóstico comprovado, com ao menos 3 critérios para classificação de Síndrome Metabólica, tendo o aumento da circunferência da cintura (CC) como critério obrigatório, segundo a International Diabetes Federation. No grupo experimental os participantes receberão orientações e dieta cardioprotetora (Dica-BR) e serão acompanhados por um período de 2 meses. E no grupo controle receberão a dieta hipocalórica e também serão acompanhados por um período de 2 meses. Ao avaliar adesão das dietas irão repetir os exames bioquímicos (glicemia de jejum, hemoglobina glicada, colesterol total, HDL-c, LDL-c, Triglicerideos, PCR, HOMA-IR, Insulina) e passarão por uma nova avaliação antropométrica

  Adults and elderly people. Both sexes. Minimum age of 20 years. Diagnosis of hypertension (140 and/or 90 mmHg). Patients with metabolic syndrome. based on the IDF diagnosis (International Diabetes Federation, 2006)
