  Experimental group: 64 patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment will receive guidance on fatigue control (physical exercises, energy conservation measures and measures to improve sleep quality) for the first time and telephone intervention on the control of fatigue for 3 sessions . Control group: 64 patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment will receive standard guidelines of the unit and telephone intervention only for reassessment of fatigue for 3 sessions. Both groups will be assessed in a multidimensional manner regarding the presence of this symptom at each contact, using the Piper Fatigue Scale. The calls will be made at the 2nd week, 4th week and 6th week of treatment.

  Grupo experimental: 64 pacientes em tratamento radioterápico receberão orientações sobre o controle da fadiga (exercícios físicos, medidas de conservação de energia e medidas para melhorar a qualidade do sono) de forma presencial pela primeira vez e intervenção telefônica sobre o controle da mesma por 3 sessões. Grupo controle: 64 pacientes em tratamento radioterápico receberão orientações padrão da unidade e intervenção telefônica somente para reavaliação da fadiga por 3 sessões. Ambos os grupos serão avaliados de forma multidimensional quanto a presença deste sintoma a cada contato, utilizando a Escala de Fadiga de Piper. As ligações serão realizadas na 2ª semana, 4ª semana e 6ª semana de tratamento.

  Age equal or superior to 18 years; to have cognitive ability to follow the guidelines and to respond to Piper's fatigue scale through the application of Mental State Minisease (MMSE); score above 60% on the Karnofsky scale; to have a telephone (landline or cellular) to follow the teaching program.

  A decrease in fatigue level is expected in patients who participated in the telephone intervention over the weeks of radiotherapy treatment, assessed by applying the Piper Fatigue Scale at the beginning, during and after the intervention.
