    This is a two-arm, blind, randomized controlled clinical trial. The randomization process will be done through a computer-generated random sequence. Experimental group: 12 runners will do Myofascial Release Therapy with the polyurethane scraper and another 12 runners will do Myofascial Release Therapy with the metal scraper. Placebo group: 12 runners will use an acupuncture device, where the needles are inserted through a cube of self-adhesive foam, staying in the puncture position but not penetrating the skin. In total there will be 5 meetings, in the first meeting the muscle damage induction protocol will be performed, the second, third and fourth meetings will be performed with Myofascial Release Therapy in the experimental group and acupuncture in the placebo group, in the quadriceps muscle bilaterally for 10 minutes on each member. The fifth meeting will be for final measurements of pain threshold, flexibility and strength.     Trata-se de um estudo clínico randomizado controlado de dois braços, cego. O processo de randomização será feito através de sequência aleatória gerada por computador. Grupo experimental: 12 corredores farão a Terapia de Liberação Miofascial com o raspador de poliuretano e outros 12 corredores farão a Terapia de Liberação Miofascial com o raspador de metal. Grupo placebo: 12 corredores utilizarão dispositivo de Acupuntura, onde as agulhas são inseridas através de um cubo de espuma auto-adesiva, ficando na posição de puntura mas não penetrando a pele. No total serão 5 encontros, no primeiro encontro será feito o protocolo de indução ao dano muscular, o segundo, terceiro e quarto encontros será feita a Terapia de Liberação Miofascial no grupo experimental e a acupuntura no grupo placebo, no músculo quadríceps bilateralmente por 10 minutos em cada membro. O quinto encontro será para mensurações finais de limiar de dor, flexibilidade e força.
