Interventions

  29 patients presenting the two lower third molars included will be recruited (representing a sample of 58 elements). These will initially be submitted to clinical examination, standard sensory analysis protocol (from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Illinois School of Dentistry, IL, USA) and cone beam computed tomography. The extractions of the included lower third molars will be performed by residents of the Residency Program in Dentistry, specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology at the State University of Western Paraná (UNIOESTE), following the same surgical technique based on the principles of Miloro , based on the text book Peterson's Principles of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery - 3rd Edition, prescribing the same pre and postoperative medication, using the same local anesthetic and the suture thread. After 7 days, patients return to perform suture removal, postoperative evaluation and standard sensory analysis protocol. If the patient presents with paresthesia, he will be referred for free treatment with laser therapy at UNIOESTE, following the clinical protocol developed by Professor Dr. Silvia Cristina Núñez for MMO laser (Mmopts, www.mmo.com.br, São Carlos-SP).

  29 pacientes apresentando os dois terceiros molares inferiores inclusos serão recrutados (o que representa uma amostra de 58 elementos). Esses serão submetidos, inicialmente, à realização de exame clínico, protocolo padrão de análise sensorial (do departamento de Cirurgia Oral e Maxilofacial, Faculdade de odontologia de Illinois, IL, EUA) e tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico. As exodontias dos terceiros molares inferiores inclusos serão realizadas pelos residentes do Programa de Residência em Odontologia, com especialidade em Cirurgia e Traumatologia Buco-maxilo-facial da Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE), seguindo a mesma técnica cirúrgica baseada nos princípios de Miloro, com base no livro texto Princípios de Cirurgia Bucomaxilo Facial de Peterson - 3a Edição, prescrevendo a mesma medicação pré e pós-operatória, utilizando o mesmo anestésico local e o fio de sutura. Após 7 dias, os pacientes retornam para realização de remoção de sutura, avaliação pós-operatória e protocolo padrão de análise sensorial. Caso o paciente apresente parestesia, esse será encaminhado para tratatmento gratuito com laserterapia na UNIOESTE, seguindo o protocolo clinico elaborado pela professora Dra. Silvia Cristina Núñez para laser MMO ( Mmopts, www.mmo.com.br, São Carlos- SP).

  Present both lower third molars included; be aged between 12 and 61 years; fall into the ASA I or ASA II groups, according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists; consent to participate in the research.

  Being pregnant; fall into the ASA III, ASA IV, ASA V or ASA VI groups, according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists; present elements 38 and / or 48 associated with one or more pathologies; be allergic to dipyrone; be allergic to nimesulide; be allergic to both amoxicillin and clindamycin; present sensory alteration of the inferior alveolar nerve in the preoperative period.

  Ser gestante; se enquadrar nos grupos ASA III, ASA IV, ASA V ou ASA VI, de acordo com a American Society of Anesthesiologists; apresentar os elementos 38 e/ou 48 associados a uma ou mais patologias; ser alérgico a dipirona; ser alérgico a nimesulida; ser alérgico tanto a amoxicilina quanto a clindamicina; apresentar alteração sensorial do nervo alveolar inferior no pré-operatório.
