    Randomized, controlled and crossed clinical trial with 30 hypertension patients. The initial approach of patients is the invitation to participate in the
Study with clarification of the main
Characteristics of the search. Those who agree to participate and sign the term of consent

Submitted to the preliminary assessment. Eligible patients will receive the necessary guidance for the
Realization of the intervention visits: Visits
One, two and three. The 3 intervention visits will be held in the Clinical Research Laboratory (FLAME/
CLINEX) No HUPE/UERJ. In each visit, the
Participants will initially be subjected to blood and urine collection, evaluation of the endothelial function,
Biovascular reactivity,
Central hemodynamic parameters of the PA continuously for 15 minutes. Then it will be held to
Nutritional intervention that consists of ingesting one of three drinks. Drinks should be
Consumed in up to 10 minutes. The moment of ingestion will be considered
As the 0 minute or time 0 (T0) of the study. After intake of the beverage will be given continuity to the evaluation
Continuous BP for more 60 minutes and
Next, all vascular evaluations will be repeated before ingestion of beverages,
In addition to being held new collection of
Blood and urine. The project will be developed in partnership with the Brazilian research company
Agriculture (EMBRAPA), which will provide the
Raw material for the study, as well as the biological analyses of it. The 3 drinks of the study will be:
Water (90 ml), decaffeinated coffee (90 ml)
and coffee with caffeine (90 ml). The polyphenol content (expressed in clorogênicos acids) of the decaffeinated coffee and

    Ensaio clínico randomizado, controlado e cruzado com 30 pacientes hipertensos. A abordagem inicial dos pacientes consistirá no convite para participação no
estudo com esclarecimento das principais
características da pesquisa. Aqueles que concordarem em participar e assinarem o termo de consentimento
livre e esclarecido (TCLE) serão
submetidos à avaliação preliminar. Os pacientes elegíveis receberão as orientações necessárias para a
realização das visitas de intervenção: visitas
1 , 2 e 3. As 3 visitas de intervenção serão realizadas no Laboratório de Pesquisa Clínica (CHAMA /
CLINEX) no HUPE/UERJ. Em cada visita, os
participantes serão inicialmente submetidos a coleta de sangue e urina, avaliação da função endotelial, da
reatividade microvascular cutânea, dos
parâmetros hemodinâmicos centrais, da PA de forma contínua por 15 minutos. Em seguida, será realizada a
intervenção nutricional que consistirá na ingestão de uma dentre 3 bebidas. As bebidas deverão ser
consumidas em até 10 minutos. O momento da ingestão será considerado
como o minuto 0 ou tempo 0 (T0) do estudo. Após a ingestão da bebida será dada continuidade à avaliação
contínua da PA por mais 60 minutos e
logo em seguida serão repetidas todas as avaliações vasculares realizadas antes da ingestão das bebidas,
além de ser realizada nova coleta de
sangue e de urina. O projeto será desenvolvido em parceira com a Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa
Agropecuária (EMBRAPA), a qual fornecerá a
matéria-prima para o estudo, assim como as análises biológicas do mesmo. 
As 3 bebidas do estudo serão:
Água-controle (90 ml), café descafeinado (90 ml)
e café com cafeína (90 ml). O teor de polifenóis (expressos em ácidos clorogênicos) do café descafeinado e

Evident, diabetes mellitus, prior history of acute infarction and/or myocardial revascularization, clinical signs
Heart failure, arrhythmia or
Significant valve disease, previous stroke, thyroid function changes, disease
Renal or liver chronicles and history of

secundária; em uso de betabloqueadores, estatinas, suplementos nutricionais ou terapia de reposição
hormonal; com PA 160/100 mmHg; que não
consomem café habitualmente ou apresentem consumo excessivo (> 4 xícaras chá/dia); tabagistas;
apresentando doença coronária clinicamente
evidente, diabetes mellitus, história prévia de infarto agudo e/ou revascularização miocárdica, sinais clínicos
de insuficiência cardíaca, arritmia ou
doença valvar significativa, acidente vascular encefálico prévio, alterações da função tireoidiana, doenças
renais ou hepáticas crônicas e história de
