    Study group: 60 patients of both genders, aged between 18 and 60 years, with Herniated Lumbar Disc (HDL) located in the intervertebral L4-L5 and L5-S1 spaces, associated with Radicular Pain (RP). The 60 patients will be divided in three groups, upon an aleatory randomization: Group 1 (G1,LASER AsGa 904 nm-75W, n=20), Grup 2 (G2 LASER Placebo n=20) and Grup 3 (G3 LED 945 nm  n=20). Evaluation: patients will be evaluated at baseline to identify functional impairment upon anamnesis and physical examination. The quantification of low back and radicular pain will be made by the Visual Analog Scale of Pain, EVA. Flexion and extension of the lumbar spine and the angle flexion of the hip with the knee extended, Lasègue Sign, will be measured with the universal goniometer before and after the intervention. The functional limitation will be evaluated by the Functional Disability Questionnaire of Oswestry. Lateral position contralateral to radicular pain for physical therapy procedures will be established. At the end of the treatment all patients will be submitted to a final evaluation. Procedures: Patients in Group 1 and Group 3 will undergo  low power phototherapy associated with the sequence of  expiration movements and flexion exercises. Group 2 will be submitted to a placebo LASER followed by expiration movements and flexion exercises. The laser stimulation period will be of 1.44 minutes using 4J in each point.
The beam diameter at the point of LED treatment will be 1.2 cm2 consisting of seven LED emitters, with exposure time of 40 s / cm 2 per point.
The treatment should be conducted at a frequency of five times per week until a total of 15 sessions. At the end of the 15 sessions, patients will be reassessed.

    Alocação e Randomização: Será realizado recrutamento de 60 pacientes, de ambos os sexos, com idade entre 18 e 60 anos,  com Hérnia de Disco Lombar (HDL) nos espaços intervertebrais L4-L5 e L5-S1, associada à Dor Radicular (DR). Os 60 pacientes serão randomizados e inseridos por sorteio  em um dos três grupos do estudo: Grupo 1 (G1,LASER AsGa 904 nm-75W, n=20), Grupo 2 (G2 LASER Placebo n=20) e Grupo 3 (G3 LED 945 nm  n=20). Avaliação Inicial : Os pacientes serão submetidos à avaliação  neurológica e musculoesquelética por anamnese e exame físico. A quantificação da dor lombar e radicular será feita pela Escala Visual Analógica de Dor, EVA. A flexão, a extensão da coluna lombar e o ângulo da flexão do Quadril com o joelho estendido, Sinal de Lasègue, serão mensurados com o goniômetro universal antes e após a intervenção. A limitação funcional será avaliada pelo Questionário de Incapacidade Funcional de Oswestry.    Procedimentos: Os pacientes do Grupo 1  e Grupo  3 farão Laser e Led  de baixa potência na faixa de radiação  de infravermelho associada   a sequencia de exercícios de flexão, precedidos por movimentos de expiração. O grupo 2  fará o LASER placebo e a série de exercícios de flexão precedidos por movimentos de expiração. O tempo de estimulação do Laser será de 1.44 minutos com dose de 4J por ponto. 
 O diâmetro do feixe de LED no ponto de tratamento será de 1,2 cm2 sendo constituído por sete emissores de LED, com tempo de aplicação de 40 s/cm2 por ponto.   
O tratamento deverá ser realizado numa frequência de  cinco vezes por semana, num total de 15 sessões.
