  The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of glycemic control on the cardiometabolic responses of the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test in adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM1) and to compare them with a control group without DM1. To this end, a cross-sectional observational study will be carried out. The sample will consist of 36 female adolescents with DM1, aged between 13 and 17, and a control group made up of 36 individuals of the same age, female, without the disease, totaling 72 participants. Sociodemographic and health characteristics will be obtained using a previously prepared questionnaire. Nutritional assessment, physical activity levels, blood pressure and sexual maturation will be carried out, as well as the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test.

  O estudo tem como objetivo investigar a influência do controle glicêmico nas respostas cardiometabólicas do Teste Cardiopulmonar de Exercício em adolescentes portadores de Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 1 (DM1) e compará-las com um grupo controle, não portador de DM1. Para tanto, será realizado um estudo observacional transversal. A amostra será constituída por 36 adolescentes portadoras de DM1, com idade entre 13 a 17 anos, do sexo feminino, e de um grupo controle composto por 36 indivíduos da mesma idade, sexo feminino, sem doença, totalizando 72 participantes. As características sociodemográficas e de saúde serão obtidas por questionário previamente elaborado. Será realizada avaliação nutricional, do nível de atividade física, da pressão arterial e da maturação sexual, e por fim, o Teste Cardiopulmonar de Exercício.

  For the Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM1) group: Individuals, female, with a clinical and laboratory diagnosis of DM1; aged between 13 and 17 years; classified as pubertal (from P3M3), according to biological maturation; agreeing to the procedures and signing the Free and Informed Assent Form and the Free and Informed Consent Form. For the control group: individuals without a clinical or laboratory diagnosis of DM1; agreeing to the procedures and signing the Informed Consent Form and the Informed Consent Form; matched by age, biological maturation and level of physical activity with the participants in the DM1 group

  For the Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM1) group: presence of complications such as diabetic retinopathy, nephropathy and/or neuropathy; respiratory exchange coefficient lower than 1.1 in the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test; loss of data related to the variables of the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test; absence of information or incorrect completion of information on the time of diagnosis of diabetes, laboratory tests, body composition and level of physical activity. For the control group: respiratory exchange coefficient lower than 1.1 in the Exercise Cardiopulmonary Test; loss of data related to the Exercise Cardiopulmonary Test variables
