    Intervention group: 10 athletes received the application of Kinesio Taping twice weekly for four weeks prior to normal team training. The athlete remained with the bandage until the next training, where the replacement occurred. Prior to attaching the bandage to the dominant shoulder, the examiner cleaned the area to be applied to 70% alcohol bandage. Subsequently, the examiner covered the athlete's body surface with benzoin dye to obtain a better fixation of the same. The elastic bandage applied was Kinesio Taping®, 5 cm wide. This was fixed in the region of the coracoid process of the scapula, placing on the scapula with tension of 50% toward the fibers of the inferior trapezius.
Placebo Kinesio taping Group: 8 athletes received the same type of application of Kinesio Taping, but without the necessary tension, therefore, without any therapeutic effect.

    Grupo intervenção: 10 atletas receberam a aplicação da Kinesio Taping duas vezes por semana durante quatro semanas, previamente ao treinamento normal da equipe. A atleta permaneceu com a bandagem até o treinamento seguinte, onde ocorreu a substituição da mesma. Previamente a fixação da bandagem  no ombro dominante, o examinador limpou a área a ser aplicada a bandagem com álcool 70%. Posteriormente, o examinador cobriu a superfície corporal do atleta com tintura de benjoim para obter uma melhor fixação da mesma. A bandagem elástica aplicada foi a Kinesio Taping® de cinco cm de largura. Esta foi fixada na região do processo coracóide da escápula, posicionando sobre a escápula com tensionamento de 50 % em direção as fibras do trapézio inferior. 
Grupo Kinesio taping placebo: 8 atletas receberam o mesmo tipo de aplicação da Kinesio Taping, porém sem a tensão necessária, portanto, sem nenhum efeito terapêutico.

Previously submitted to surgery on upper limbs or neck;
Presence of generalized ligament laxity;
Presence of an allergic reaction to the bandage or adhesive tape;
