  The research aims to evaluate the action promoted by toothpastes with desensitizing action against the sensitivity generated in patients resulting from supervised home whitening treatment. The molding for making the study models will be carried out using Avagel Type II Alginate - (Dentsply Sirona) with manual manipulation using a silicone cuvette and plastic spatula, after disinfection and pouring of the models with Type III Stone Plaster (Asfer), they will be The whitening plates were made from acetate plates modeled in a PlastVac P7 vacuum laminator (Bio-Art). Patients will be instructed on how to use the plate with adequate placement of the amount of whitening gel in the same proportion as a grain of raw rice on the surface of the plate that will be in contact with the buccal surfaces of the teeth.The study will be randomized so that the research participants will have their numbers drawn using https://sorteador.com.br/, a random number draw available free of charge online. After the result, each patient's code will be used to record which type of whitening treatment, based on the concentration of the gel and the action of the desensitizing toothpastes or not, this patient will undergo. During the study, sensitivity assessment will be carried out in three stages: initially, prior to the whitening treatment with the application of a questionnaire (Appendix A), 7 days after the start of home whitening, and 15 days after the end of the use of the home whitening gel. Along with these initial and follow-up consultations, the color will also be assessed and recorded in the patient's clinical record by means of a previously calibrated evaluator and the assessment of the impact on the quality of life promoted by the proposed treatment, ending with the recording of three stages of color change, degree of sensitivity and impact on the quality of life of each patient. 60 patients will be selected and divided into two main groups, which will use Whiteness Class Dental Bleaching Agent (FGM, Koinville, SC, Brazil), so that the first group will be formed by 30 patients who will undergo treatment using 7.5% hydrogen peroxide (PH7.5) and a second group of 30 patients who will undergo treatment using 10% hydrogen peroxide (PH10), all gels, toothpastes and brushes will be provided by the research team. After division into two large groups, each group will be distributed into subgroups, of which the subgroup PH7.5.1 (n=10) will be formed, in which patients will use toothpaste without desensitizing action, the subgroup PH7.5.2 (n=10), in which the intervention will occur so that patients will use toothpaste with obliterating action (Colgate Sensitive Pró-Alívio), while patients in the subgroup PH7.5.3 (n=10) will be exposed to the use of toothpaste with neural desensitizing action (Colgate Sensitive Original/Colgate Sensitive Multiproteção). Furthermore, in relation to the PH10 group, this will also be distributed into subgroups, of which the PH10.1 subgroup (n=10) will be formed, in which patients will use toothpaste without desensitizing action, the PH10.2 subgroup (n=10), in which the intervention will occur so that patients will use toothpaste with obliterating action (Colgate Sensitive Pró-Alívio), while patients in the PH10.3 subgroup (n=10) will be exposed to the use of toothpaste with neural desensitizing action (Colgate Sensitive Original/Colgate Sensitive Multiproteção). It is worth mentioning that the toothpastes will also be provided by the researcher in charge. Toothpastes should be used using the modified Bass technique combined with headphones, in which brushing occurs over the entire surface of the tooth from the incisal or occlusal region to the cervical region at a 45° angle of the brush bristles on the surface, also ensuring massage in the marginal gingival region, for adequate hygiene with application of the recommended toothpaste and mechanical disorganization of the biofilm, which will be instructed to be performed 3 times a day. Based on the survey of responses to questionnaires that aim to assess sensitivity, whitening potential and impact on patients' quality of life, we will be able to obtain a more assertive result regarding the indication of toothpastes for use during and after supervised home whitening.

  A pesquisa pretende avaliar a ação promovida por dentifrícios de ação dessensibilizante frente a sensibilidade gerada em pacientes proveniente de tratamento clareador caseiro supervisionado. A moldagem para a confecção dos modelos de estudo serão realizadas com uso de Alginato Avagel Tipo II - (Dentsply Sirona) com manipulação manual usando cubeta de silicone a espátula plástica, após desinfecção e vazamento dos modelos com Gesso Pedra Tipo III (Asfer), serão confeccionadas as placas de clareamento, a partir de placas de acetato modeladas em plastificadora a vácuo PlastVac P7 (Bio-Art). Os pacientes serão instruídos a como fazer uso da placa com colocação adequada da quantidade de gel clareador na mesma proporção de um grão de arroz cru na superfície da placa que estará em contato com as faces vestibulares dos dentes dos dentes. A randomização do estudo se dará de forma que os participantes da pesquisa terão seus números sorteados, por meio do https://sorteador.com.br/, um sorteador de números aleatórios disponibilizado de forma gratuita e online, após o resultado desse, será registrado pelo código de cada paciente a qual tipo de tratamento clareador pela concentração do gel e ação dos dentifrícios dessensibilizantes ou não este paciente será submetido. Durante o estudo a avaliação da sensibilidade se dará em três momentos, inicial, prévio ao tratamento clareador com a aplicação de um questionário (Apêndice A), com 7 dias do início do clareamento caseiro e após 15 dias, já finalizado o uso do gel clareador caseiro. Juntamente a essas consultas inicial e de retornos, também será avaliada a cor e registrada no prontuário clínico do paciente por meio de um avaliador previamente calibrado e a avaliação do impacto na qualidade de vida promovida pelo tratamento proposto, sendo finalizado com o produto de registro de três momentos da tomada de cor, grau de sensibilidade e impacto na qualidade de vida de cada paciente. Serão selecionados 60 pacientes, dos quais ocorrerá a distribuição em dois principais grupos, que utilizarão Clareador Dental Whiteness Class (FGM, Koinville, SC, Brasil), de forma que o primeiro grupo será formado por 30 pacientes que irão ser submetidos ao tratamento com o uso do peróxido de hidrogênio a 7,5% (PH7,5) e um segundo grupo de 30 pacientes que será submetido ao uso de peróxido de hidrogênio a 10% (PH10), todos os géis, dentifrícios e escovas serão fornecidos pela equipe pesquisadora. Após a divisão nos dois grandes grupos, cada grupo será distribuído nos subgrupos, dos quais será formado o subgrupo PH7,5.1 (n=10), no qual os pacientes farão uso de dentifrício sem ação dessensibilizante, o subgrupo PH7,5.2 (n=10), nesse a intervenção ocorrerá de modo que os pacientes farão uso de creme dental com ação obliteradora (Colgate Sensitive Pró-Alívio), enquanto que os pacientes do subgrupo PH7,5.3 (n=10) serão expostos ao uso de dentifrício com ação dessensibilizante neural (Colgate Sensitive Original/ Colgate Sensitive Multiproteção). Ademais em relação ao grupo PH10, esse será distribuído também em subgrupos, dos quais será formado o subgrupo PH10.1 (n=10), no qual os pacientes farão uso de dentifrício sem ação dessensibilizante, o subgrupo PH10.2 (n=10), nesse a intervenção ocorrerá de modo que os pacientes farão uso de creme dental com ação obliteradora (Colgate Sensitive Pró-Alívio), enquanto que os pacientes do subgrupo PH10.3 (n=10) serão expostos ao uso de dentifrício com ação dessensibilizante neural (Colgate Sensitive Original/ Colgate Sensitive Multiproteção). Vale ressaltar, que os dentifrícios também serão cedidos pelo pesquisador responsável. Os dentifrícios deverão ser utilizados pela técnica de Bass modificada somada a fones em que a escovação ocorre sobre toda a superfície do dente desde a região incisal ou oclusal até a região cervical numa angulação de 45° das cerdas da escova sobre a superfície, sendo garantida também a massagem na região de gengival marginal, para a adequada higienização com aplicação do creme dental recomendado e desorganização mecânica do biofilme que será instruída a ser executada 3 vezes ao dia. A partir do levantamento das respostas dos questionários que pretendem avaliar a sensibilidade, o potencial clareador e o impacto na qualidade de vida dos pacientes, conseguiremos um resultado mais assertivo a respeito da indicação de cremes dentais para uso trans e pós clareamento caseiro supervisionado.
