This is a non-randomized, single-group, clinical study. Thirty participants meeting strict inclusion and exclusion criteria will be assessed using clinical, photographic, and electromyographic instruments and by validated scales over a six-month follow-up. Participants with dynamic wrinkles in the glabella and frontal region will receive a single dose of 24U of Botulinum Toxin Type A.

Trata-se de um estudo clínico não randomizado, com uma única intervenção. Trinta participantes, seguindo critérios de inclusão e exclusão bem estabelecidos, serão avaliados clinicamente, por fotografias e eletromiografia, e por aplicação de escalas validadas ao longo de seis meses de acompanhamento. As participantes com rugas dinâmicas na região glabelar e frontal receberão, em dose única, aplicação de 24U de Toxina Botulínica Tipo A.

Patients of both sexes; Presence of moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles on the forehead, measured using the Merz scale; Age between 25 and 50 years; No allergies to botulinum toxin type A

Exclusion criteria:

Under 25 and over 50 years of age; Absence of dynamic wrinkles in the forehead and glabella complex; Uncooperative and afraid of needles; Pregnant or breastfeeding women; Who have had botulinum toxin type A injections in the last 2 years; With active infection or dermatological lesions in the area to be injected; Who present with muscular, rheumatic, neurological or psychiatric disorders; Who use aminoglycosides, penicillins and other drugs that may interfere with the action of botulinum toxin type A

It is expected that the application of Botulinum Toxin Type A to the muscles of the glabellar complex will reduce the strength of the frontalis muscle, measured by surface electromyography of the frontalis and corrugator muscles, with a 50% reduction in initial muscle potential.

The best aesthetic perception and satisfaction regarding forehead wrinkles are expected, as measured by validated FACE-Q questionnaires.
