  This is a clinical, controlled and randomized study in a split-mouth model that will involve the participation of 32 patients who will be allocated into two groups (n=16) according to type of the graft to be used in association with the coronally displaced flap for the treatment of gingival recessions (n=16): ETC: Connective tissue graft; MDS: Porcine collagen dermal matrix graft. At bilateral recessions will be treated randomly with and without photobiomodulation. Patients who have treatable recessions will be operated and will be unilaterally treated with photobiomodulation with red and infrared wavelengths at the same time in 5 sessions, one immediately after surgery, after 3, 7, 10 and 15 days of the surgical procedure where they will be applied 9 J per session

  Trata-se de um estudo clínico, controlado e randomizado em modelo boca dividida que envolverá a participação de 32 pacientes que serão alocados em dois grupos (n=16) de acordo com o tipo de enxerto a ser utilizado em associação ao retalho deslocado coronalmente para tratamento das recessões gengivais (n=16): ETC: Enxerto de tecido conjuntivo; MDS: Enxerto de matriz dérmica colágena suína. As recessões bilaterais serão tratadas de forma randômica com e sem fotobiomodulação. Os pacientes que tiverem a recessões tratáveis serão operados e serão unilateralmente tratados com a fotobiomodulação com comprimento de onda vermelho e infravermelho ao mesmo tempo em 5 sessões sendo uma imediatamente após a cirurgia, após 3, 7, 10 e 15 dias do procedimento cirúrgico onde serão aplicados 9 J por sessão

  Present bilateral single or multiple gingival recessions classified as RT1 (Miller class I and II) that require surgical treatment; lack of previous experience with surgical treatment for the treatment of gingival recessions; ability to maintain good oral hygiene, be systemically healthy or who have compensated systemic diseases; be legally responsible for their own acts, be between 18 and 60 years of age

  Apresentar recessões gengivais unitárias, ou múltiplas, bilaterais classificadas como RT1 (classe I e II de Miller) que necessitem de tratamento cirúrgico; ausência de experiência prévia com tratamento cirúrgico para tratamento das recessões gengivais; capacidade de manter boa higiene oral; serem sistemicamente saudáveis ou que apresentem doenças sistêmicas compensadas; ser responsável legal por seus próprios atos; ter entre 18 e 60 anos de idade

  History of untreated periodontal disease; smoking patients; furcation lesion in the tooth to be treated; presence of severe crowding, rotation or malposition of the tooth to be treated; hypersensitivity to any anesthetic; medication or antiseptic product used in surgery; medical limitation for elective surgical procedures; patients undergoing orthodontic treatment, and pregnant or lactating women
