    Intervention group: 25 (twenty-five) patients will use bilateral cerebral oximetry and bispectral index.
Control group: 25 patients will use the bilateral bispectral index.

For all patients, the electrodes (bispectral index and / or cerebral oximetry) will be placed on the forehead, after removal of the impedance of the skin. For the intervention group, the value of basal cerebral oximetry will be calculated and the value of the fall of 20% (twenty percent). During extracorporeal circulation, the values of the bispectral index and its suppression and the values of cerebral oximetry will be recorded every 2 (two minutes).

All patients in the study will undergo the mini-examination of mental status and congnitive evaluation of Montreal during the preanesthetic evaluation and three months after surgery

    Grupo intervenção: serão 25 (vinte e cinco) paciente que farão uso da oximetria cerebral e do índice bispectral bilaterais.
Grupo controle: serão 25 paciente que farão uso do índice bispectral bilateral.

Para todos os pacientes, serão colocados os eletrodos (do índice bispectral e/ou da oximetria cerebral) na testa, após retirada a impedância da pele. Para o grupo intervenção, será calculado o valor da oximetria cerebral basal e o valor da queda de 20% (vinte por cento). Durante a circulação extracorpórea, serão anotados, a cada 2 (dois) minutos, os valores do índice bispectral e da supressão do mesmo e os valores da oximetria cerebral. 

Todos os pacientes do estudo serão submetidos aos testes do mini-exame do estado mental e da avaliação congnitiva de Montreal durante a avaliação pré-anestésica e três meses apósa cirurgia
