  For the study, 60 volunteer patients will be clinically evaluated based on the inclusion criteria and, if eligible, impressions will be taken of the upper and lower arches with alginate (Ezact, Coltene, RJ, Brazil) for making individualized vinyl whitening trays. acetate. The finished trays will be tested for verification of adaptation in the arches of each patient. In the second session, the initial color measurement will be performed with the Vita Easyshade spectrophotometer (Vita Zahnfabrik, Bad Säckingen, Germany) through an individualized silicone guide and with an orifice compatible with the diameter of the spectrophotometer and the upper individual tray will be tested and adjusted. The 60 patients will undergo the supervised at-home tooth whitening technique, using a 7.5% hydrogen peroxide whitening gel (White Class, FGM, SC, Brazil), by split-mouth intervention, the groups being: control group application the whitening gel on the buccal surface of the teeth (n=60); experimental group application of whitening gel on the buccal and palatal surfaces of teeth (n=60). The implementation of the intervention will be carried out by a participant who did not follow the initial assessment or the weekly color assessments, which will be carried out through opaque and sealed envelopes, with the internal content randomized and allocated by a third participant, through a website . When the patient is present for consultation, the participant will reveal the allocation and randomization of the belonging group, together with the instructions for use and treatment guidelines. Participants will be instructed to apply a drop of gel on the buccal and palatal surface of the tray in the respective hemi-arch determined by previous randomization, and application of a drop of gel on the buccal surface of the tray in the other hemi-arch. To help identify the correct gel application site, the hemi-arch of the tray that should be filled in on the buccal and palatal sides will be externally marked with a permanent blue pen and the half-arch of the tray that should be filled only on the buccal surface will be marked with red permanent pen. Patients will be instructed to use the tray properly filled with the whitening gel for 1 consecutive hour a day for 14 days. Patients will be instructed not to use abrasive or desensitizing toothpastes. Color will be evaluated weekly during the intervention (7 and 14 days) and after one month of the end of the bleaching protocol with color scales (Vita Classical and Vita Bleachedguide) and spectrophotometer (Vita Easyshade). The patient must report daily whether or not he felt dental sensitivity and gingival irritation and what their intensities were using a visual analogue scale, as well as completing the daily control over the procedure available in the table. The whitening of the lower arch will be carried out after the end of the whitening of the upper arch, following a control group protocol, to avoid lack of adherence by volunteers. To help patients remain compliant with treatment, daily messages will be sent via mobile apps. In addition, face-to-face (verbal) guidance will be given on oral hygiene and the correct implementation of the treatment protocol.

  Para a realização do estudo, 60 pacientes voluntários serão avaliados clinicamente com base nos critérios de inclusão e sendo elegíveis serão realizadas moldagens das arcadas superiores e inferiores com alginato (Ezact, Coltene, RJ, Brasil) para confecção das moldeiras de clareamento individualizadas de vinil-acetato. As moldeiras finalizadas serão provadas para verificação de adaptação nas arcadas de cada paciente. Na segunda sessão, será realizada a medição inicial de cor com o espectrofotômetro Vita Easyshade (Vita Zahnfabrik, Bad Säckingen, Alemanha) através de guia de silicone individualizada e com orifício compatível com o diâmetro do espectrofotômetro e a moldeira individual superior será provada e ajustada. Os 60 pacientes serão submetidos à técnica de clareamento dental caseiro supervisionado, com a utilização de gel clareador peróxido de hidrogênio 7,5% (White Class, FGM, SC, Brasil), por intervenção boca-dividida, sendo os grupos: grupo controle aplicação do gel clareador na face vestibular dos dentes (n=60); grupo experimental aplicação do gel clareador na face vestibular e palatina dos dentes (n=60). A implementação da intervenção será realizada por um participante que não acompanhou a avaliação inicial nem as avaliações semanais de cor, onde será realizada através de envelopes opacos e selados, com o conteúdo interno randomizado e alocado por um terceiro participante, através de um site de internet. No momento em que o paciente esteja presente para consulta, o participante fará a revelação da alocação e randomização do grupo pertencente juntamente com as instruções de uso e orientações sobre o tratamento. Os participantes serão instruídos a realizar a aplicação de uma gota do gel na face vestibular e palatina da moldeira na respectiva hemi-arcada determinada por randomização prévia, e aplicação de uma gota de gel na face vestibular da moldeira na outra hemi-arcada. Para auxiliar na identificação do local correto de aplicação do gel, a hemi-arcada da moldeira que deverá ser preenchida nas faces vestibular e palatina será demarcada externamente com caneta permanente azul e a hemi-arcada da moldeira que deverá ser preenchida apenas pela face vestibular será demarcada com caneta permanente vermelha. Os pacientes serão orientados a utilizar a moldeira devidamente preenchida com o gel clareador durante 1 hora consecutiva por dia, durante 14 dias. Os pacientes serão instruídos a não utilizar pastas dentais abrasivas ou dessensibilizantes. A cor será avaliada semanalmente durante a intervenção (7 e 14 dias) e após um mês do término do protocolo clareador com escalas de cor (Vita Classical e Vita Bleachedguide) e espectrofotômetro (Vita Easyshade). O paciente deverá relatar diariamente se sentiu ou não sensibilidade dental e irritação gengival e qual suas intensidades através de escala visual analógica, bem como deverá preencher o controle diário sobre o procedimento disponível em tabela. O clareamento da arcada inferior será realizado após o término do clareamento da arcada superior, seguindo protocolo de grupo controle, para evitar a falta de adesão dos voluntários. Para auxiliar os pacientes a se manterem aderentes ao tratamento, serão enviadas mensagens diárias via aplicativos de celular. Além disso, serão realizadas orientações presenciais (verbais) sobre a higiene bucal e a correta realização do protocolo de tratamento.
