  The 24 patients will be submit the surgical procedure to remove the free gingival graft. After the insertion of the graft on the the recipient site, the patients will be randomly allocated in one of two groups with 12 patients each, according to the treatment to be used to protect the donor site: Control group (CG ): The wound will be covered with acrylic plate associated to the surgical cement; Test Group (GT): The wound will be covered with acrylic plate associated with natural latex membrane.

  Os 24 pacientes serão submetidos ao procedimento cirúrgico para remoção do enxerto gengival livre após a inserção do enxerto do leito receptor, o paciente será randomicamente alocado em um dos dois grupos com 12 pacientes cada, de acordo com o tratamento a ser utilizado para proteger o leito doador: Grupo controle(GC): A ferida será recoberta com placa acrílica associada ao cimento cirúrgico; Grupo Teste(GT): A ferida será recoberta com placa acrílica associada a membrana de látex natural.

  Age between 18 and 60 years old; Presence of less than 2 mm of keratinized gingiva associated with teeth with association of a shallow vestibule or high insertion of a brides in the vestibular region of lower incisors; Present inadequate oral hygiene in the region or report of hygiene difficulty; Probing depht up to 3mm; Class I or II gingival recessions (Miller, 1985); Present good systemic health.

  Ter idade entre 18 e 60 anos; Presença de menos de 2 mm de gengiva queratinizada associada aos dentes com associação de vestíbulo raso ou inserção alta de freio na região vestibular de incisivos inferiores; Apresentar higiene oral inadequada na região ou relato de dificuldade de higienização; Ausência de profundidade de bolsa acima de 3mm; Recessões gengivais classe I ou II (Miller, 1985); Apresentar boa saúde sistêmica.

  Smokers and former smokers; Diabetics; Presence of chronic or aggressive periodontitis; Patients who use medicinal products that alter the connective tissue metabolism; Patients who were chronically anti-inflammatories and antibiotics users; Bruxism; Ethilics; Chemical dependents; Pregnant; History of radiotherapy in the head and neck region.

Outcomes

• Primary outcomes:

  It is expected the total closure the surgical wound within 15 days for both groups. Latex membrane will be considered superior to the control treatment if the lesion closes 20% higher than the control treatment in the periods of 3 or 7 days. This parameters will be evaluate by clinical and photographic analysis. These analysis will be perform after 3, 7, 15, and 30 days of the surgery.

  Esperasse o fechamento da ferida cirúrgica em até 15 dias para ambos os grupos. A membrana de Latex será considerada superior ao tratamento controle se houver fechamento da lesão 20% superior em relação ao tratamento controle nos períodos de 3 ou 7 dias. Essa avaliação será executada por análises clínicas e fotográficas. Essas análises serão realizadas nos períodos de 3, 7, 15 e 30 dias após a cirurgia.

  The treatment with the latex membrane will be considered superior to the control if there is reduction of the pain sensation during the healing phase. This parameter will be evaluate by the use of a VAS scale. This analysis will be perform after 3, 7, 15, and 30 days of the surgery.

  O tratamento com a membrana de látex será considerado superior ao controle caso haja redução da sensação dolorosa durante a fase de cicatrização. Essa análise será executada por meio da aplicação da escala VAS. A análise da sensação dolorosa será avaliada nos periodos de 3, 7, 15 e 30 dias após a cirurgia.
