  Intervention study : assessment of the longevity of restorations and sealants placed using the technique of atraumatic restoration in onco - hematological treatment patients. 25 patients will be served, with 14 males and 11 females. The restorations will be carried through the partial removal of carious tissue, relative isolation of the tooth, use of high viscosity glass ionomer, followed by vaseline and occlusal adjustment. Sealants will be performed in teeth with caries risk, according to the technique ART (Atraumatic Restorative Treatment). Assessments of the procedures will be performed after 3 months, 6 months and 1 year of its implementation, with the objective of verifying its longevity. Control intervention: assessing the longevity of restorations and sealants placed using the technique of atraumatic restoration in patients without special needs. 14 patients will be met, including 8 females and 5 males. the technique of atraumatic restoration in patients without any special need. The restorations will be carried through the partial removal of carious tissue, relative isolation of the tooth, use of glass ionomer high viscosity , followed by vaseline and occlusal adjustment. Sealants will be performed in teeth with caries risk , according to the ART technique (Atraumatic Restorative Treatment). Assessments of the procedures will be performed after 3 months , 6 months and 1 year of its implementation, with the objective of verifying its longevity. The results for both groups will be compared with each other in each proposed range , i e at 3 months , 6 months and 01 year after the procedure.

  Intervenção de estudo: avaliação da longevidade de restaurações e selantes realizados através da técnica de restauração atraumática, em pacientes sob tratamento onco-hematológico. Serão atendidos 25 pacientes, sendo 14 do gênero masculino e 11 do gênero feminino. As restaurações serão realizadas através da remoção parcial do tecido cariado, isolamento relativo do dente, uso de ionômero de vidro de alta viscosidade, seguido de vaselina e ajuste oclusal. Os selantes serão realizados em dentes com risco para doença cárie, obedecendo a técnica para ART Tratamento Restaurador Atraumático).   Patients between 04 to 12 years-old; patients whose parent or legal guardian authorizing the investigation; patients who did not present severe systemic involvement, that prevented clinical examination and dental procedures; patients in onco-hematologic therapy in HGPP (Palmas General Public Hospital) hospitalized or who are at beds home.

  Pacientes com idade entre 04 e 12 anos; pacientes cujo pai ou responsável legal autorizar a realização da pesquisa; pacientes que não apresentam comprometimento sistêmico severo, que impossibilite exame clínico e procedimentos odontológicos; pacientes em tratamento onco-hematológico, hospitalizados no HGPP (Hospital Geral Público de Palmas) ou que se encontram no leito domiciliar.

• Exclusion criteria:

  Patients whose parents or guardians did not consent to this investigation; patients outside the specified age (02 to 13 years); patients whose systemic involvement would prevent the realization of conservative technique under study; patients in the multidisciplinary team don't aprove the manipulation of the oral cavity; patients who moved Palmas or which precluded evaluation of restorations; patients whose teeth showed clinically pulp exposure or abscess.

  The restorations made by the TRA technique in patients under onco-hematologic therapy has a tendency to lower longevity than the restorations in the control group at the end of 1 year. The method used to verify the endpoint was statistical analysis using Fisher 's Exact test Test, Pearson Chi - square and Mann - Whitney Test.

For this assessment the Cox regression was used.

  As restaurações e selantes confeccionados pela técnica ART em paciente sob tratamento onco-hematológico tem uma tendência a mais falhas que as restaurações realizadas no grupo controle após 1 ano de acompanhamento, porém os resultados não foram estatisticamente significantes (p=0.155) As restaurações e selantes confeccionados pela técnica ART em pacientes sob tratamento onco-hematológico, em dentes decíduos apresentaram 2.1 vezes mais chances de falhas com necessidade de reparo que em dentes permanentes (p=0.008). Para esta avaliação foi utilizada a regressão de Cox.
