    The work to be carried out consists of a randomized, prospective, triple-blind, controlled, 2x2 factorial clinical trial. Patients between 18 and 55 years old who meet the eligibility criteria adopted by Flieger will be selected. et al. 2019, who need, according to prior planning, to install mini-implants. The entire infrastructure, logistics for installing the devices and their costs will be carried out in accordance with the protocols of the orthodontic service, therefore, patients will not be subjected to unnecessary treatments. A total of 28 patients from the Unichristus Orthodontics specialization, of both sexes, with ages ranging from 18 to 55 years will be studied. The research will be a clinical study, for its accomplishment, the patients will be randomized about which group they will belong to. The application of the laser will occur on the day of the mini-implant installation: Group of patients A: Patients whose photobiomodulation protocol will consist of application of infrared low-intensity laser (LLLT) (Ep = 2J,IV) with 3 application points (Et= 6J,IV). Group of patients B: placebo application of laser in three points of application. The distribution of patients between groups will be carried out based on randomization, by a different operator than the one who will carry out the evaluations using the Microsoft Excel ® randomization command. That same operator will organize the information in envelopes that will be opened by the person responsible for applying the laser on the day of device installation. The outside of the envelopes will contain the order of randomization and inside the group to which the patient will belong. The operator, the one who will install the mini-implant, will not have access to this information.

    O trabalho a ser realizado consiste em um ensaio clínico randomizado, prospectivo, triplo cego, controlado, fatorial 2x2. Serão selecionados pacientes entre 18 e 55 anos que preencham os critérios de elegibilidade adotados por Flieger. et al. 2019, que necessitem, segundo planejamento prévio, realizar a instalação de mini-implantes. Toda a infraestrutura, logística de instalação dos dispositivos e custos com os mesmos, serão realizados de acordo com os protocolos do serviço de ortodontia, não sendo, portanto, os pacientes submetidos a tratamentos desnecessários. Um total de 28 pacientes da especialização de Ortodontia da Unichristus, de ambos os sexos, com idades variando de 18 a 55 anos serão estudados. A pesquisa será um estudo clínico, para sua realização, será realizada randomização dos pacientes sobre qual grupo pertencerão.A aplicação do laser ocorrerá no dia da instalação do mini- implante: Grupo de pacientes A: Pacientes cujo protocolo de fotobiomodulação consistirá em aplicação de laser de baixa intensidade (LBI) infravermelho (Ep = 2J,IV) com 3 pontos de aplicação (Et= 6J,IV).  Grupo de pacientes B: aplicação placebo de laser em três pontos de aplicação. A distribuição dos pacientes entre os grupos será feita a partir de randomização, por um operador diferente do que vai realizar as avaliações pelo comando aleatorização do Microsoft Excel ®. Esse mesmo operador organizará as informações em envelopes que serão abertos pelo responsável pela aplicação do laser no dia da instalação do dispositivo. A parte externa dos envelopes conterá a ordem de randomização e no seu interior o grupo ao qual o paciente irá pertencer.
