  The intervention consists of guidelines on Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) for elderly people participating in activities offered by the Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS) in the municipality of Tangará da Serra - MT. These guidelines will be carried out by means of illustrative videos, of the type "cartoon" with elderly characters. The creation of the plot for each video will be based on the components of the Health Belief Model: susceptibility, severity, benefits and perceived barriers. The videos will be developed on the Vyond online platform based on pre-organized scripts, the characters and scenarios will be illustrated and the voices edited using the free digital audio editing software Audacity. The intervention will consist of three videos that will be sent to study participants through a messaging application available on smartphones. Before sending the videos, the researcher will apply a pre-intervention questionnaire through a telephone interview with the elderly. The intervention will last three weeks, with each video sent on the first working day of the week (Monday) to all participants, with an interval of seven days between one video and another. The first video will aim to address aspects related to the susceptibility of the elderly to STIs. The plot will tell the story of four elderly residents in the community, who participate in activities at the Reference Center for Social Assistance in the city, being: a widower, a single and a couple. In the plot, the elderly meet at CRAS for another meeting, and comment on the case of an elderly woman who died with the diagnosis of AIDS. From then on, all the elderly (widower, single and couple) comment on the case. The second video will aim to address aspects related to STI severity. Continuing with the first video, an elderly woman worries about the death of an acquaintance caused by AIDS and seeks the health clinic to consult with the nurse. During the consultation, the nurse explains what STIs are and their consequences. The last and third video are aimed at addressing aspects related to barriers to STI prevention and the benefits of preventing them. Continuing the second video, the plot takes place from the following context: the nurse is invited to participate in a meeting with the elderly at CRAS. At this moment, she takes the opportunity to identify, from the perspective of the elderly, what are the barriers pointed out for the prevention of STIs. Subsequently, it explains the ways to practice safe sex and addresses the benefits of preventing STIs. After submitting each video, the researcher will contact the participant to make sure that they have watched the video completely. The educational intervention will be carried out with a single group of 43 elderly people who meet the inclusion criteria. There will be no comparison group. After the last video is sent, on the first working day of the following week, the post-intervention telephone interview will begin.

  A intervenção consiste em orientações sobre as Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST) destinadas às pessoas idosas participantes de atividades ofertadas pelos Centros de Referência de Assistência Social (CRAS) do município de Tangará da Serra - MT. Essas orientações serão realizadas por meio de vídeos ilustrativos, do tipo “desenho animado” com personagens idosos. A criação do enredo de cada vídeo será baseada nos componentes do Modelo de Crenças em Saúde: susceptibilidade, severidade, benefícios e barreiras percebidas. Os vídeos serão desenvolvidos na plataforma online Vyond a partir de roteiros pré-organizados, os personagens e cenários serão ilustrados e as vozes editadas no software livre de edição digital de áudio Audacity. A intervenção será composta por três vídeos que serão enviados aos participantes do estudo por meio de um aplicativo de mensagem disponível em smartphones. Antes do envio dos vídeos, a pesquisadora aplicará um questionário pré-intervenção por meio de uma entrevista por telefone com os idosos. A intervenção terá duração de três semanas, sendo cada vídeo enviado no primeiro dia útil da semana (segunda –feira) para todos os participantes, com um intervalo de sete dias entre um vídeo e outro. O primeiro vídeo terá como objetivo abordar os aspectos relacionados à susceptibilidade dos idosos às IST. O enredo contará a história de quatros idosos residentes na comunidade, que participam de atividades no Centro de Referência de Assistência Social do município, sendo: um viúvo (a), um solteiro (a) e um casal. No enredo, os idosos se encontram no CRAS para mais um encontro, e comentam sobre o caso de uma idosa que faleceu com o diagnóstico de Aids. A partir de então, todos os idosos (viúvo (a), solteiro (a) e o casal) comentam sobre o caso. O segundo vídeo terá como objetivo abordar os aspectos relacionados à severidade das IST. Dando continuidade ao primeiro vídeo, uma idosa se preocupa com a morte de uma conhecida provocada por Aids e procura o posto de saúde para se consultar com a enfermeira. Durante a consulta, a enfermeira explica sobre o que são as IST e suas consequências. O último e terceiro vídeo têm como objetivo abordar os aspectos relacionados às barreiras para prevenção das IST e os benefícios em preveni-las. Dando continuidade ao segundo vídeo, o enredo se dá a partir do seguinte contexto: a enfermeira é convidada para participar de um encontro com os idosos no CRAS. Nesse momento, ela aproveita a oportunidade para identificar na perspectiva dos idosos quais são as barreiras apontadas para prevenção das IST. Posteriormente é explicado quais são as formas de se praticar o sexo seguro e aborda os benefícios em prevenir as IST. Após o envio de cada vídeo, a pesquisadora entrará em contato com o participante para se certificar de que ele assistiu ao vídeo completamente. A intervenção educativa será realizada com um único grupo de 43 idosos que preencham os critérios de inclusão. Não haverá grupo de comparação. Após o envio do último vídeo, no primeiro dia útil da semana seguinte, iniciará a entrevista por telefone pós-intervenção.
