    Test 1: each volunteer will be submitted to two sessions of evaluation of pulpal responsiveness in the maxillary central incisors, always between 12:00 and 1:30 pm, to avoid circadian interferences in the responses. The teeth will be tested 3 times with an interval of 2 minutes between measurements to determine the basal threshold of pulpal response of the same, considered as the average of the values ​​obtained. The pulp tester will be adjusted to allow a time of approximately 25 seconds to reach the maximum reading (80) on the instrument display. The electrical test will be performed by placing the electrode of the device in the middle third of the tooth, using 1.23% sodium fluoride neutral gel as a conductive substance. Volunteers will be instructed to raise their hand or turn their head away when they are aware of any of these stimuli. Test 2: each volunteer will be subjected to increasing pressure in the dermis of healthy volunteers using an electronic Von Frey analgesimeter. An evaluator, who will not know to which group the volunteer belongs, will apply an increasing force, digitally adjusted, to the skin of the volunteer's hand at six points on the hand. The application of force will be maintained until the volunteer shows pain, and the stimulus is immediately interrupted. In addition to the measurement on the hand points described above, the tactile detection limit and pressure pain threshold will also be measured on 4 orofacial surfaces.The EAV will consist of a 10 cm line, without demarcation, containing the numbers 0 (zero) and 10 (ten), respectively at the left and right ends. Volunteers will be instructed to mark with a vertical line their pain sensitivity, knowing that 0 means no pain and 10 the worst possible pain. The distance measured between point 0 and the demarcation made by the volunteer will be the pain intensity expressed as a numerical value.

    Ensaio 1: cada voluntário será submetido a duas sessões de avaliação da responsividade pulpar nos incisivos centrais superiores, sempre no período das 12h às 13:30h, para evitar interferências circadianas nas respostas.  Os dentes serão testados por 3 vezes com intervalo de 2 minutos entre as medições para determinação do limiar basal de resposta pulpar dos mesmos, considerado como a média dos valores obtidos. O pulp tester será regulado para permitir um tempo de aproximadamente 25 segundos para que se alcance a leitura máxima (80) no visor do aparelho. O teste elétrico será realizado através da colocação do eletrodo do aparelho no terço médio do dente, usando como substância condutora gel neutro de fluoreto de sódio 1,23%. Os voluntários serão instruídos a levantar a mão ou a afastar a cabeça quando tiverem percepção de qualquer desses estímulos. Ensaio 2: cada voluntário será submetido a uma pressão crescente na derme de voluntários sadios utilizando analgesímetro de Von Frey eletrônico. Um avaliador, o qual não saberá a que grupo o voluntário pertence, aplicará uma força crescente, ajustada digitalmente, na pele da mão do voluntário em seis pontos da mão. A aplicação da força será mantida até que o voluntário manifeste dor, sendo o estímulo imediatamente interrompido. Além da medição nos pontos da mão acima descritos, o limite de detecção tátil e o limiar de dor por pressão também serão medidos sobre 4 superfícies orofaciais.
