  This is a randomized, longitudinal controlled clinical trial, with a quantitative approach, where the intervention will consist of two groups of patients undergoing different protein supplementation strategies, and 66 patients will be recruited for the clinical trial, considering a confidence level of 95% and a power of 80%, where 33 patients will be randomized into the Standard Protein Supplementation and Motor Physiotherapy Group (GSPF) and 33 patients into the Protein Supplementation Post Motor Physiotherapy Group (GSPFpós), where patients over 18 years of age of both sexes, admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using exclusive enteral nutritional therapy and undergoing early motor rehabilitation, will be included in the sample, thus in the standard group Standard supplementation will be maintained through the addition of a protein module to the enteral diet divided throughout the day and administered according to standardized times and availability of the hospital's probe. In the intervention group, the administration of the protein module will be adjusted to the time for motor physiotherapy to be administered immediately afterwards, and for this purpose, allocation secrecy will be carried out through sequential numbers kept in opaque, non-translucent and closed envelopes, and participants will be subjected to a simple randomization, which will be carried out by an examiner without involvement in the research, and in addition the outcome assessor, the patient and the statistician will be blind to the randomization of the groups

  Trata-se de um ensaio clínico controlado randomizado, longitudinal, com abordagem quantitativa, onde a intervenção será composta por dois grupos de pacientes submetidos a estratégias de suplementação proteica distintas, e para o ensaio clínico serão recrutados 66 pacientes, considerando um nível de confiança de 95% e um poder de 80%, onde serão randomizados 33 pacientes no Grupo Suplementação Proteica Padrão e Fisioterapia Motora (GSPF) e 33 pacientes no Grupo Suplementação Proteica Pós Fisioterapia Motora (GSPFpós), onde serão incluídos na amostra os pacientes maiores de 18 anos de ambos os sexos, admitidos na Unidade de Terapia Intesiva (UTI) em uso de terapia nutricional enteral exclusiva e que sejam submetidos a reabilitação motora precoce, desta forma no grupo padrão será mantida a suplementação padrão realizada através da adição de modulo de proteína a dieta enteral fracionada ao longo do dia e administrada conforme horários padronizados e disponibilidade do sondário do hospital, já no grupo intervenção a administração do módulo de proteína será ajustado ao horário de realização da fisioterapia motora para administração logo após, e para tal o sigilo da alocação será realizado através de números sequenciais mantidos em envelopes opacos, não translúcidos e fechados, e os participantes serão submetidos a uma randomização simples, que será realizada por um examinador sem envolvimento na pesquisa, e além disso o avaliador de desfecho, o paciente e o estatístico serão cegos quanto a randomização dos grupos

• Inclusion criteria:

  Patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit - ICU; over 18 years old; of both sexes; with indication of the use of exclusive enteral nutritional therapy; and that they undergo early motor rehabilitation according to the institution's protocol (24 hours after admission to the ICU, without intracranial hypertension, in hemodynamic and respiratory stability)

• Exclusion criteria:

  Patients under 18 years of age; who are on oral feeding; parenteral or mixed; or who have some type of contraindication to undergoing motor physiotherapy; patients with suspected or confirmed brain death; patients in palliative care; pregnant women; patients who have contraindications for using the cycle ergometer (skeletal, dermatological or surgical dysfunction); and Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than or equal to 30kg/m² (obesity)

  It is expected to find a smaller reduction in the thickness of the quadriceps femoris muscle measured through ultrasound compared to the first forty-eight hours and after seven days (above 1.36 centimeters) between the intervention group and the control group
