  This is a randomized clinical trial, consisting of phase 1, in which the sensory analysis of the gum will be evaluated by a group of 50 people. Subsequently, phase 2 will take place in a hospital environment and will consist of a group of 80 people, who underwent video cholecystectomy, divided into a control group: 40 people, who will not receive the coffee-flavored chewing gum, but will remain on hospital nutrition. The experimental group: 40 people, will receive coffee-flavored chewing gum along with hospital nutrition. The division of groups will be done randomly and the evaluation of the gum's functionality will take place over a period of one day, being used 3 times a day for a period of 10 to 30 minutes.

  Trata-se de um ensaio clínico randomizado, composto pela fase 1, em que será avaliada a análise sensorial da goma por um grupo de 50 pessoas. Posteriormente, a fase 2 ocorrerá em ambiente hospitalar e será composta por um grupo de 80 pessoas, as quais realizaram vídeo colecistectomia, divididas em grupo controle: 40 pessoas, as quais não receberão a goma de mascar sabor café, mas permaneceram com nutrição hospitalar. O grupo experimental: 40 pessoas, receberá a goma de mascar sabor café juntamente com a nutrição hospitalar. A divisão de grupos será feita de forma aleatorizada e a avaliação da funcionalidade da goma ocorrerá pelo período de um dia, sendo utilizada 3 vezes ao dia por um período de 10 a 30 minutos.
