  The sample size will be 120 pairs (60 child-guardian pairs in each group, totaling 240 individuals). After recruitment, participants considered eligible will be randomly allocated to the control group or the intervention group. Randomization will be performed in blocks of 4 individuals, using a computer-generated sequence of random numbers. Intervention group: will receive guidance based on the Planetary Health Diet proposed by the Eat Lancet commission, guidance on reducing portion sizes and a six-month exercise program. The guidelines will be directed to all family members. Control group: will receive general guidelines on healthy eating based on those promoted in primary care for children with obesity. In addition, each group will be divided into 2 subgroups and each of the arms will be cross-treated a low sodium salt added with anti-inflammatory spices compared to a placebo salt (normal sodium content).

  O tamanho da amostra necessária para a realização do estudo será de 120 pares (60 pares criança- responsável em cada grupo, totalizando 240 indivíduos). Após a fase de recrutamento, os participantes considerados elegíveis serão alocados aleatoriamente no grupo controle ou no grupo intervenção. A randomização será realizada em blocos de 4 indivíduos, utilizando sequência de números aleatórios gerada por computador. Grupo intervenção: receberá orientações baseadas na Dieta Planetária Sustentável proposta pelo Eat Lancet, sobre redução do tamanho das porções e um programa de exercícios físicos por um período de seis meses. As orientações serão direcionadas a todos os membros da família.Grupo controle: receberá orientações gerais de alimentação saudável com base naquelas promovidas na atenção primária para crianças com obesidade. Além disso, cada grupo será dividido em 2 subgrupos e cada um dos braços receberá de forma cruzada um sal com baixo teor de sódio adicionado de especiarias anti-inflamatórias em comparação com um sal placebo (teor normal de sódio).

  Pre-existing genetic disorders associated with obesity (congenital leptin deficiency;Down syndrome; Prader-Willi syndrome); endocrine disorders (hypothyroidism, Cushing's syndrome); children with a disability that prevents carrying out anthropometric measurements; patients undergoing nutritional monitoring; patients using medication for weight loss; families with more than 5 members residing in the same household; families that have at least one member who had allergies or some other restriction to a hyposodium herb salt ingredient.

  It is expected to find a variation in the Body Mass Index (BMI) of the children verified by calculating the body weight measured on a portable electronic scale (Tanita BC-558) and height measured in duplicate, using a portable anthropometer, brand Altura Exata . Both measures will be measured with the individual evaluated, barefoot, wearing light clothes, without hair ornaments, with arms extended at the side of the body, positioned by the horizontal plane of Frankfurt. The BMI variation will be evaluated through the classification of the nutritional status based on the BMI/Age values, in z-scores, using the new curves of the World Health Organization (WHO, 2007) with the use of the WHO-Anthro software Plus 2007 (WHO, 2007). The values ​​obtained will be classified according to the cutoff points recommended by the WHO for children over 5 years of age, being underweight: below –2Z; eutrophic: between –2 and +1Z; overweight: between +1 and +2Z; obesity between +2Z and +3Z and severe obesity above 3Z of the reference median.

  Espera-se encontrar uma variação do Índice de Massa Corporal (IMC) das crianças verificado pelo cálculo do peso corporal aferido em balança eletrônica portátil (Tanita BC-558) e estatura aferida em duplicata, com o uso de antropômetro portátil, da marca Altura Exata.   It is expected to find a variation in the blood pressure of the child and the guardian that will be measured with an electronic and digital device Omron® Hem 742, previously validated. Before taking the measurement, it will be checked that the child and the adult do not have a full bladder, have not ingested medication and/or coffee, have not eaten up to 30 minutes before the procedure and/or practiced physical exercises up to 1 hour before. The measurement will be performed on the right arm, at the same level as the heart, resting on a table with a flat surface, with the palm of the hand facing upwards and the elbow slightly flexed. The individual must be seated, with feet in contact with the floor or platform with a flat surface and remain in that position for 5 minutes, at rest, before the measurement. 2 BP measurements will be taken, with a minimum interval of 2 minutes, and the average of the 2 measurements will be calculated. If the difference between the 2 measurements is greater than or equal to 5 mmHg, 3 new measurements will be taken.

  Espera-se encontrar uma variação na pressão arterial da criança e do responsável que será aferida com aparelho eletrônico e digital Omron® Hem 742, previamente validado. Antes de proceder à tomada da medida, será certificado que a criança e o adulto não estejam com a bexiga cheia, não tenham ingerido medicamentos e/ou café, não tenha se alimentado até 30 minutos antes do procedimento e/ou praticado exercícios físicos até 1 hora antes. A medida será realizada no braço direito, ao mesmo nível do coração, apoiado em mesa com superfície plana, com a palma da mão virada para cima e o cotovelo ligeiramente flexionado. O indivíduo deverá estar sentado, com pés em contato com o chão ou plataforma de superfície plana e permanecer nessa posição durante 5 minutos, em repouso, antes da medição. Serão realizadas 2 medidas de PA, com intervalo mínimo de 2 minutos, e será calculada a média das 2 medidas. Caso a diferença entre as 2 medidas seja maior ou igual a 5 mmHg, 3 novas medidas serão tomadas.
