  Group 1: will consist of 30 patients under exclusive chemotherapy treatment, regardless of the type of cancer (solid or hematological) and anatomical site, which after random draw will integrate the subgroups: Subgroup 1a - will consist of 10 patients from group 1 - oral care using the protocol used in the routine of the Service (oral hygiene with the use of infantile toothpaste, small-headed infantile toothbrush, mouthwash with sodium bicarbonate solution). 8 / 8h; mouthwash with chlorhexidine 0.12% oral solution 12 / 12h (presence of at least 1 tooth in mouth); mouthwash with oral nystatin solution 6 / 6h - 1,000UI; removal, cleaning and storage of appliances and / or dental prostheses). Subgroup 1b - will consist of 10 patients from group 1 - oral care using the protocol used in the routine of the Service (oral hygiene with the use of children's toothpaste, small-headed infant toothbrush and soft bristles, mouthwash with sodium bicarbonate solution). 8 / 8h; mouthwash with chlorhexidine 0.12% oral solution 12 / 12h (presence of at least 1 tooth in mouth); mouthwash with oral nystatin solution 6 / 6h - 1,000UI; removal, cleaning and storage of appliances and / or dental prostheses) and topical application of copaiba oil 1 (once) a day, all over the oral mucosa. Subgroup 1c - will consist of 10 patients from group 1 - oral care using the protocol used in the routine of the Service (oral hygiene with the use of infantile toothpaste, small-headed infantile toothbrush, mouthwash with sodium bicarbonate solution). 8 / 8h; mouthwash with chlorhexidine 0.12% oral solution 12 / 12h (presence of at least 1 tooth in mouth); mouthwash with oral nystatin solution 6 / 6h - 1,000UI; removal, cleaning and storage of appliances and / or dental prostheses) and topical application of the visible low-power red laser (Therapy XT - DMC) 1 (once) daily throughout the oral mucosa. Group 2: will consist of 30 patients under exclusive radiotherapy treatment in the head and neck region, who after random draw will integrate the subgroups: Subgroup 2a - will consist of 10 patients from group 2 - oral care using the protocol used in the routine of the Service (oral hygiene with the use of infantile toothpaste, small-headed infantile toothbrush, mouthwash with sodium bicarbonate solution). 8 / 8h; mouthwash with chlorhexidine 0.12% oral solution 12 / 12h (presence of at least 1 tooth in mouth); mouthwash with oral nystatin solution 6 / 6h - 1,000UI; removal, cleaning and storage of appliances and / or dental prostheses). Group 3: will be composed of 30 individuals under concomitant antineoplastic treatment performed with the use of chemotherapy and radiotherapy in the head and neck region, which after random drawing will integrate the subgroups: Subgroup 3a - will consist of 10 patients from group 3 - oral care using the protocol used in the routine of the Service (oral hygiene with the use of infantile toothpaste, small-headed infantile toothbrush, mouthwash with sodium bicarbonate solution). 8 / 8h; mouthwash with chlorhexidine 0.12% oral solution 12 / 12h (presence of at least 1 tooth in the mouth); mouthwash with nystatin oral solution 6 / 6h - 1,000UI; removal, cleaning and storage of appliances and / or dental prostheses). Grupo 2: será constituído por 30 pacientes sob tratamento exclusivo radioterápico em região de cabeça e pescoço, os quais após sorteio aleatório integrarão os subgrupos: Subgrupo 2a – será constituído por 10 pacientes do grupo 2 - cuidado oral com uso do protocolo utilizado na rotina do Serviço (higiene oral com uso de creme dental infantil, escova dental infantil com cabeça pequena e cerdas macias, bochechos com solução de bicarbonato de sódio 8/8h; bochechos com solução oral de clorexidina 0,12% 12/12h (presença de pelo menos 1 dente na boca); bochechos com solução oral de nistatina 6/6h – 1.000UI; remoção, higienização e armazenamento de aparelhos e/ou próteses dentárias). Grupo 3: será constituído por 30 indivíduos sob tratamento antineoplásico concomitante realizado com uso de quimioterápicos e radioterapia em região de cabeça e pescoço, os quais após sorteio aleatório integrarão os subgrupos: Subgrupo 3a – será constituído por 10 pacientes do grupo 3 - cuidado oral com uso do protocolo utilizado na rotina do Serviço (higiene oral com uso de creme dental infantil, escova dental infantil com cabeça pequena e cerdas macias, bochechos com solução de bicarbonato de sódio 8/8h; bochechos com solução oral de clorexidina 0,12% 12/12h (presença de pelo menos 1 dente na boca); bochechos com solução oral de nistatina 6/6h – 1.000UI; remoção, higienização e armazenamento de aparelhos e/ou próteses dentárias).   Including individuals of both sexes, aged 18 years or older, diagnosed with solid or hematologic malignancy and under chemotherapy or radiotherapy, the latter in the head and neck region, at the Oncology Center of the Oswaldo Cruz University Hospital, to agree to conduct this study after signing the Informed Consent Form, thus allowing the use, after random draw, of one of the three methods used in this study for prevention and treatment of chemoinduced and radioinduced oral mucositis.

  Incluídos os indivíduos de ambos os sexos, com idade igual ou superior a 18 anos, diagnosticados com neoplasia maligna sólida ou hematológica e sob tratamento quimioterápico ou radioterápico, este último na região de cabeça e pescoço, no Centro de Oncologia do Hospital Universitário Oswaldo Cruz, que concordem a realização deste estudo após assinatura do Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido, permitindo assim a utilização, após sorteio aleatório, de um dos três métodos utilizados neste estudo para prevenção e tratamento de mucosite oral quimioinduzida e radioinduzida.

  Individuals who do not meet the inclusion criteria; Individuals who meet the inclusion criteria but disagree with the study and / or individuals who initially allow the study and then express their desire to abandon the study will be excluded; Also individuals who abandon the oncological or dental treatment for oral mucositis control during the research period, or who die without being able to complete the analysis of oral condition and mucositis.
