    The aims of this study will be to evaluate the peripheral muscles tissue oxygenation and functional capacity in subjects with cystic fibrosis Complex Disease unit from   Hospital Infantil João Paulo II, after a program of home physical exercise prescription.

In this treatment center 120 patients aged between 6 and 18 years are treated. All eligible patients will be invited to attend.

In the stage quasi-experimental of the study 120 cystic fibrosis children and adolescents between the ages of six and 18 years will be included, who will carry out an individualized exercise program for home physical exercise.

On the day of the Outpatient Clinic visit the  volunteers will be evaluated on regular base, will perform the pulmonary function test, and evaluate the clinical signs of exacerbation, genetic mutation and bacterial colonization will be use to baseline characterization. They will then receive educational information about the importance and benefits of physical activity.

Volunteers eligible for the study will receive an individualized aerobic physical activity prescription, which is culturally part of their daily lives. They will be instructed to perform them daily for a period of 30 minutes (at least 150 minutes per week with a minimum of 5 on the modified Borg scale) for three months. Every two weeks after the start of the activities  the subjects will receive messages via mobile emphasizing the need to comply with the program prescribed by the physiotherapist. Every three months they will be reassessed and will perform two follow-ups.

The evaluation and reevaluation of these patients will be performed through an incremental shuttle walking test. During this test a near-infrared spectroscopy devise (NIRS) will be used for evaluation of physical exercise training, muscle and tissue oxygenation.

    O objetivo deste estudo será avaliar a oxigenação tecidual dos músculos periféricos e a capacidade funcional em voluntários com fibrose cística do Ambulatório de Doenças Complexas do Hospital Infantil João Paulo II, após um programa de prescrição de exercício físico domiciliar.
 
Neste Centro de tratamento são atendidos  120 pacientes com idade entre seis e 18 anos. Todos os pacientes elegíveis serão convidados a participar.

Na etapa quase experimental do estudo serão incluidas 120 crianças e adolescentes com fibrose cística com idade entre seis e 18 anos, que realizarão um programa de precrição individualizado de exercício físico domiciliar.

No dia da consulta de seguimento no Ambulatório de Doenças Complexas do Hospital Infantil João Paulo II os voluntários passarão pela consulta médica, realizarão a prova de função pulmonar, serão avaliados quanto aos sinais clínicos de exacerbação, mutação genética e colonização bacteriana, para a caracterização da amostra. 

Na sequência eles e seus familiares receberão informações educativas sobre a importância e os benefícios da atividade física. 

Os voluntários elegíveis para o estudo receberão uma prescrição de atividade física aeróbica individualizada, que culturalmente fazem parte do cotidiano destas famílias. Serão orientados a realizá-las diariamente  por um período de 30 minutos (pelo menos 150 minutos por semana com nível mínimo de 5 na escala de esforço modificada de Borg) durante três meses. A cada duas semanas após o início das atividades receberão mensagens via celular enfatizando a necessidade do cumprimento do programa prescrito pelo fisioterapeuta. A cada três meses serão reavaliados e realizarão dois follow-ups.

A avaliação e reavaliação destes pacientes será realizada através de um teste de esforço (incremental shuttle walking). Durante a realização deste teste será utilizado um aparelho de espectroscopia próximo ao infravermelho (NIRS) para avaliação do condicionamento físico e da oxigenação tecidual e muscular.
