  This is a double-blind, randomized, sham-controlled clinical study. The assessments will be conducted at baseline, T1 (intervention followed by reassessment), and T2 (30-day follow-up). Active group: 30 patients with Schizophrenia, predominantly presenting negative symptoms, will undergo twenty sessions of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (intermittent Theta Burst), in four daily sessions (one per hour), over five consecutive days. 600 pulses will be delivered per session. 100% of the resting motor threshold intensity will be used. The parameters employed will consist of three pulses at 50 Hz frequency, at 5 Hz, using a 2-second train duration, with an 8-second inter-train interval, totaling 190 seconds. The protocol will be administered with the patient seated in a chair. The coil will be tangentially and perpendicularly positioned to the scalp within a pre-marked area on a cap. Sham group (control): 30 patients with Schizophrenia, predominantly presenting negative symptoms will be replicated the same parameters and coil positioning tangentially to the patient's scalp, however using a sham coil, whose function has no clinical effect. Therefore, the subjective somatic sensation on the scalp and acoustic artifacts during stimulation will be consistent for both active and sham patients.   Trata-se de um estudo clínico randomizado, duplo-cego, sham controlado. Grupo ativo: 30 pacientes com Esquizofrenia, com sintomas negativos predominantes, serão submetidos a vinte sessões de Estimulação Magnética Transcraniana (Theta Burst intermitente), em quatro sessões diárias (uma a cada hora), ao longo de cinco dias consecutivos. Serão entregues 600 pulsos por sessão. Será utilizado 100% da intensidade do limiar motor de repouso. Os parâmetros utilizados serão três pulsos de 50 Hz de frequência, a 5 Hz, usando 2 segundos de trem, com um intertrem de 8 segundos de intervalo, em 190 segundos. O protocolo será realizado com o paciente sentado em uma poltrona. A bobina será posicionada tangencialmente e perpendicular ao couro cabeludo na área previamente demarcada em uma touca. Grupo sham (controle): 30 pacientes com Esquizofrenia, com sintomas negativos predominantes, serão replicados os mesmos parâmetros e posicionamento da bobina tangencialmente ao couro cabeludo do paciente, porém utilizando uma bobina sham, cuja ação não tem efeito clínico. Dessa forma, a sensação somática subjetiva no couro cabeludo e os artefatos acústicos durante a estimulação, serão os mesmos para pacientes ativos e sham.   Individuals diagnosed with Schizophrenia (according to the criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - DSM 5); aged 18 to 50; both genders; presenting with moderate intensity negative symptoms; capable of reading and understanding Portuguese; with stable use of medications and no changes in antipsychotics in the last three months; not using anticonvulsant medications; not having abused drugs or alcohol in the past year; not having undergone any brain stimulation protocols in the past year before admission to the study

  Individuals diagnosed with depression or substance abuse dependency, as defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5); diagnosed neurological disorders (epilepsy and history of seizures, traumatic brain injury); presence of metallic implants in the brain region (pacemakers, cochlear implants, implanted electrodes/stimulators, aneurysm clips/coils, stents)
