  This clinical trial will recruit male patients, with age of at least 18 years, who have up to five ulcers caused by Leishmania (Viannia) guyanensis. Thirty patients will be included and will take three tablets of fluconazole 150mg per day for 30 days. There will be no control group. It will be appreciated the number of side effects and if the treatment was effective to completely heal the ulcer in a maximum period of 60 days. If we have a higher cure rate than or equal to 60 % , ie if 18 or more patients are cured without the occurrence of serious adverse effects, a second stage of recruitment will include 73 male patients 18 years of age or more than they have up to five ulcers caused by Leishmania (Viannia) guyanensis. The dose of fluconazole, at this stage will be 6 tablets of 150mg, equivalent a 900mg daily. It will be considered cure complete healing of ulcers in a maximum period of 60 days.

  O ensaio clínico “adaptativo” em grupos sequenciais, aberto, de fase II recrutará pacientes do sexo masculino com 18 anos de idade ou mais que tiverem até cinco úlceras causada pela Leishmania (Viannia) guyanensis. Será incluído 30 pacientes, que irão tomar 3 comprimidos de 150mg de fluconazol, por dia, por 30 dias. Não haverá grupo controle. Será avaliado o número de efeitos colaterais e se o tratamento foi eficaz para cicatrizar completamente a úlcera em um período máximo de 60 dias. Caso tenhamos uma taxa de cura superior ou igual a 60%, ou seja, se 18 pacientes ou mais forem curados, sem a ocorrência de efeitos adversos graves, uma segunda fase de recrutamento irá incluir 73 pacientes do sexo masculino com 18 anos de idade ou mais que tiverem até cinco úlceras causada pela Leishmania (Viannia) guyanensis. A dose do fluconazol, nesta fase, será de 6 comprimidos de 150mg equivalendo a 900mg por dia da medicação. Será considerado cura cicatrização das úlceras em um período máximo de 60 dias.
