  The educational intervention will be an extension course involving realistic clinical simulation using concept maps, to be applied with students during the Nursing Semiology and Semiotics component in the 2019.2, 2020.1, 2020.2 and 2021.1 semesters. Each semester, a pre-test will be applied, which will consist of a clinical case validated in the thesis of Lira (2009). At the end of this test, students will be drawn to form the experimental (46 students) and control (46 students) groups. Once the groups are constituted, the students of the control group will be submitted to the traditional teaching method using clinical case studies and the students of the experimental group will receive the educational intervention involving the clinical simulation in line with the conceptual map. The clinical simulation will involve simulated scenarios, with the students of the experimental group. The scenarios will be organized in the clinical skills laboratory of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and should be as reliable as possible to the environment of a ward. Will be used medium fidelity mannequins as patients, whose voice will be reproduced by participants that will compose the project team, guided by the elaborated script. In debriefing, the scenario will be discussed. At this time, students will have the opportunity to justify, based on the literature, the diagnostic reasoning developed by them. For this, in debriefing, the Cmap tools® tool will be applied for the construction of concept maps. These maps will contribute to the organization of clinical thinking involved in the diagnostic reasoning process. At the end of the course, the post-test will be applied to all students in the experimental and control groups. The post-test will also be a clinical case validated in the thesis of Lira (2009).

  A intervenção educativa será um curso de extensão envolvendo a simulação clínica realística com uso de mapas conceituais, a ser aplicada com os discentes durante o componente de Semiologia e Semiotécnica da Enfermagem nos semestres 2019.2, 2020.1, 2020.2 e 2021.1. Em cada semestre, será aplicado o pré-teste, o qual consistirá de um caso clínico validado na tese de Lira (2009). Ao término deste teste, os discentes serão sorteados para constituírem os grupos experimental (46 alunos) e controle (46 alunos). Uma vez constituídos os grupos, os discentes do grupo controle serão submetidos ao método tradicional de ensino com o uso de estudos de casos clínicos e os discentes do grupo experimental receberão a intervenção educativa envolvendo a simulação clínica coadunada ao mapa conceitual. A simulação clínica envolverá cenários simulados, com os discentes do grupo experimental. Os cenários serão organizados no laboratório de habilidades clínicas da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte e deverá ser o mais fidedigno possível ao ambiente de uma enfermaria. Serão utilizados manequins de média fidelidade como pacientes, os quais terão sua voz reproduzida por participantes que comporão a equipe do projeto, guiados pelo roteiro elaborado. No debriefing, ocorrerá a discussão do cenário. Neste momento, os alunos terão oportunidade de justificar, com base na literatura, o raciocínio diagnóstico desenvolvido por eles. Para isso, no debriefing, será aplicada a ferramenta Cmap tools® para a construção de mapas conceituais. Esses mapas contribuirão na organização do pensamento clínico envolto no processo de raciocínio diagnóstico. No final do curso, será aplicado o pós-teste para todos os discentes dos grupos experimental e de controle. O pós-teste também será um caso clínico validado na tese de Lira (2009).
