  This is a three-arm, single-blind, randomized controlled clinical study with a sample of 360 participants distributed into three groups, a simulation group with a standardized actor, a peer simulation group and a control group. The intervention group 1 (GI 1) - simulation group with a standardized actor, in the first meeting (1st week) the students will carry out a pre-test containing an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) station, in the presence of a standardized actor, to evaluate the ability to apply patient safety goals in PHC. The following will also be applied: 1-Cognitive test related to international patient safety goals applied to PHC care; 2-Latino Students Patient Safety Questionnaire Scale (LPPSQ) validated in Brazil to evaluate the knowledge and attitude about patient safety of Nursing and Medicine students, 3-ESWIM Scale to evaluate participants' empathy related to the health context and 4- Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence with Learning Scale (ESEAA) to investigate students' satisfaction and self-confidence with teaching patient safety goals through realistic simulation based on educational interventions. In the second meeting (2nd week) all students in this group will participate in an educational activity through a circuit containing 06 (six) learning stations. Each station will address one of six patient safety goals (i.e., patient identification; effective communication; safe use of medications; safe procedures; prevention of risk of infections; prevention of risk of falls and pressure injuries). In the third meeting (3rd week) students in this group will carry out training through a simulation session following the method (briefing, simulation and debriefing) with the participation of a standardized actor (trained for their role) in a PHC scenario, in this In the simulation session, the participant will apply international patient safety goals in PHC care. To carry out the learning stations (2nd week) and simulations (3rd week) we will use the rooms of the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing. These trainings will be carried out by a single teacher, on a single day of the week and lasting 4 hours. In the 4th and 5th weeks, students will not have activities related to the research objectives. Finally, in the 6th meeting (6th week) students will take an identical post-test (containing the same questions and scales) to those administered in the first week. The application of the pre and post test will last 4 hours, will be applied by the same teacher, and will occur sporadically, at most once a month at a time when rooms are available at HU-Santa Catarina. Intervention group 2 (GI2): peer simulation group – Simulation between peers, participants in this group will undergo all the procedures described above for the first and second meeting in GI1. In the third meeting (3rd week) the students in this group will carry out the training through a peer simulation session - (the student assumes the role of professional; then the role of observer and, finally, the role of actor standardized). To perform each role, the student will receive training carried out by the same researcher lasting 60 minutes, prior to performing each role. The objective of this simulated training session will be to apply international patient safety goals in PHC care and will last 4 hours. In the 4th and 5th weeks, students will not have activities related to the research objectives. In the 6th meeting (6th week) students will carry out a post-test identical to the one applied in GI1. The control group (CG): group without simulation, participants in this group will be subjected to all the procedures described above for the first and second meeting in GI1, however from the third meeting (3rd week), they will have no activity (i.e., no will carry out the simulation), serving as a control for the other groups. In the 4th and 5th weeks, students will not have activities related to the research objectives. In the 6th meeting (6th week) students will carry out a post-test identical to the one applied in GI1.

  Trata-se de um estudo clínico randomizado controlado de três braços, mono-cego com uma amostra de 360 participantes distribuídos em três grupos, um grupo simulação com ator padronizado, um grupo peer simulation e um grupo controle. O grupo intervenção 1 (GI 1) - grupo simulação com ator padronizado, no primeiro encontro (1ª semana) os estudantes realizarão um pré-teste contendo uma estação de Exame Clínico Objetivo Estruturado (em inglês - Objective Structured Clinical Examination - OSCE), na presença de um ator padronizado, para avaliar a habilidade de aplicação das metas de segurança do paciente na APS. Serão aplicadas ainda: 1-Teste cognitivo relacionado as metas internacionais de segurança do paciente aplicadas ao atendimento na APS; 2-Escala Latino Students Patient Safety Questionnaire (LPPSQ) validada no Brasil para avaliação do conhecimento e atitude sobre segurança do paciente dos estudantes de Enfermagem e Medicina , 3-Escala de ESWIM para avaliar a empatia dos participantes relacionada ao contexto de saúde e 4-Escala de Satisfação dos Estudantes e Autoconfiança com a Aprendizagem (ESEAA) para investigar a satisfação e autoconfiança dos estudantes com o ensino das metas de segurança do paciente por meio da simulação realística a partir das intervenções educacionais. No segundo encontro (2ª semana) todos os alunos desse grupo participarão de uma atividade educacional através de um circuito contendo 06 (seis) estações de aprendizagem. Cada estação abordará uma das seis metas de segurança do paciente (i.e. identificação do paciente; comunicação efetiva; uso seguro de medicamentos; procedimentos seguros; prevenção do risco de infecções; prevenção do risco de queda e lesões por pressão). No terceiro encontro (3ª semana) os estudantes desse grupo realizarão o treinamento por meio de uma sessão de simulação seguindo o método (briefing, simulação e debriefing) com participação de um ator padronizado (treinado para seu papel) em um cenário de APS, nessa sessão de simulação o participante aplicará as metas internacionais de segurança do paciente no atendimento na APS. Para a realização das estações de aprendizagem (2ª semana) e simulações (3ª semana) utilizaremos as salas da Faculdade de Medicina e de Enfermagem, esses treinamentos serão realizadas por um único docente, em único dia da semana e com a duração de 4h. Na 4ª e 5ª semanas os estudantes não terão atividades relacionadas aos objetivos da pesquisa. Por fim, no 6º encontro (6ª semana) os estudantes realizarão um pós-teste idêntico (contendo as mesmas questões e escalas) aos que foram aplicados na primeira semana. A aplicação do pré e pós teste terá duração de 4h, serão aplicados pelo mesmo docente, ocorrerá de forma esporádica ao máximo em uma vez por mês em um horário que tenha disponibilidade de salas no HU-Santa Catarina. O grupo intervenção 2 (GI2): grupo peer simulation – Simulação entre pares, os participantes deste grupo serão submetidos a todos os procedimentos descritos acima para o primeiro e segundo encontro no GI1. No terceiro encontro (3ª semana) os estudantes desse grupo realizarão o treinamento por meio de uma sessão de simulação entre pares (peer simulation) - (o estudante assume o papel de profissional; depois o papel de observador e, finalmente o papel de ator padronizado). Para o desempenho de cada papel o estudante receberá treinamento feito pela mesma pesquisadora com duração de 60 minutos, previamente a execução de cada um dos papéis. O objetivo dessa sessão de treinamento simulado será aplicar as metas internacionais de segurança do paciente no atendimento na APS e terá a duração de 4h. Na 4ª e 5ª semanas os estudantes não terão atividades relacionada aos objetivos da pesquisa. No 6º encontro (6ª semana) os estudantes realizarão um pós-teste idêntico ao aplicado no GI1. O grupo controle (GC): grupo sem simulação, os participantes deste grupo serão submetidos a todos os procedimentos descritos acima para o primeiro e segundo encontro no GI1, porém do terceiro encontro (3ª semana), eles não terão atividade (ou seja, não realizarão a simulação), servindo de controle para os demais grupos. Na 4ª e 5ª semanas os estudantes não terão atividades relacionada aos objetivos da pesquisa. No 6º encontro (6ª semana) os estudantes realizarão um pós-teste idêntico ao aplicado no GI1.
