    Control group: 20 patients admitted to the intensive care unit will receive sessions of conventional physiotherapy, with respiratory physiotherapy and arms and legs movements, will be done 5 times a week.
Group Intervention: 20 patients admitted to the intensive care unit will receive the combined therapy sessions, the patients will be placed in the bed or chair, with the spine supported and will perform the exercises of pedaling with the use of the stationary bicycle associated with the electrical stimulation of the muscle of the thigh. Each combination therapy session will have a duration of 30 to 50 minutes with the following electrical stimulation parameters: reciprocal mode, pulse width (T): 300 to 400 microseconds, frequency (F): 30 to 50 Hz with increasing intensity until The contraction of the thigh muscle is observed, limited to the maximum value of 140 mA. The parameters for the times of rise and fall, Ton and Toff will be changed respecting the movement performed. Once the electrical stimulation device is switched on, the patient will perform the movement of the legs on the stationary bicycle. Thus, the contraction of the muscle occurred as much by the electrical stimulation as by the movement of the legs.

    Grupo Controle: 20 pacientes internados na unidade de terapia intensiva receberão sessões de fisioterapia convencional, com exercícios de fisioterapia respiratória e movimentação de braços e pernas, serão feitas 5 vezes por semana. 
Grupo Intervenção: 20 pacientes internados na unidade de terapia intensiva receberão as sessões de terapia combinada, os pacientes serão posicionados sentados na cama ou cadeira, com a coluna apoiada e realizarão os exercícios de pedalar com uso da bicicleta estacionaria associada a estimulação elétrica  do músculo da coxa. Cada sessão de terapia combinada terá a duração de 30 a 50 minutos com os seguintes parâmetros de estimulação elétrica : modo reciproco, largura de pulso (T): 300 a 400 microssegundo, frequência (F): 30 a 50 Hz com intensidade aumentando ate que seja observada a contração do músculo da coxa, limitada ao valor máximo de 140 mA. Os parâmetros referentes aos tempos de subida e descida, Ton e Toff serão alterados respeitando o movimento executado. Uma vez que o aparelho de estimulação elétrica for ligado, o paciente realizara o movimento das pernas na bicicleta estacionaria.     Patients with hospitalization period of at least two days; age between 18 and 50 years; both sexes, sensitivity and cognitive preserved; Glasgow Coma Scale 15; hemodynamically stable; adequate pulmonary gas exchange; Inspired fraction of oxygen less than or equal to 60% and positive pressure at the end of the expiration less than or equal to 10 cmH2O with peripheral oxygen saturation greater than 88%; Sign the Free and Informed Consent Form.
