  The behavior of periodontal tissue will be evaluated by analyzing the quantity of biomarkers and the volume of Crevicular Gingival Fluid with further verification of the adaptation and marginal behavior of the restoration, in teeth restored with 0.2mm thick thin ceramic veneers on the cervical edge, cemented over teeth without wear on the cervical portion and presenting a cervical edge positioned inside the gingival sulcus. Samples of crevicular gingival fluid will be collected by means of methylcellulose strips for analysis of inflammatory mediators before the restorative procedures and after the installation of the veneers, at the times of 7, 15, 30, 60, 180 and 365 days, after the cementation of the veneers. Altogether, 73 teeth are expected to be restored in 12 patients and 1 tooth for each patient that will not received any intervention is used as a control. In addition, the teeth will be molded in 7 out of 180 days for making replicas to verify the marginal adaptation of the restoration in the scanning electron microscope.

  Será avaliado o comportamento do tecido periodontal pela análise da quantidade de biomarcadores e do volume do Fluido Gengival Crevicular com adicional verificação da adaptação e comportamento marginal da restauração, em dentes restaurados com laminados cerâmicos delgados de 0,2mm de espessura na borda cervical, cimentados sobre dentes sem desgaste na porção cervical e apresentando borda cervical posicionada no interior do sulco gengival. Será colhido por meio de fitas de metilcelulose, amostras de fluido gengival crevicular para análise de mediadores inflamatórios antes dos procedimentos restauradores e depois da instalação dos laminados, nos tempos de 7, 15, 30, 60, 180 e 365 dias, após a cimentação das facetas. Ao todo se prevê a restauração de 73 dentes em 12 pacientes e utilizados como controle 1 dente de cada paciente que não sofrerá intervenção. Alem disso os dentes serão moldados em 7 em 180 dias para confecção de réplicas para verificação da adaptação marginal da restauração no microscópio eletrônico de varredura.

  Healthy patients who needed ceramic lveneers in the region between teeth 15 to 25; with healthy teeth and in good condition of periodontal health attested by clinical and radiographic examination; with the need to close diastemas; elimination of black spaces; corrections of shape and dental contour with aesthetic and / or functional justification attested by diagnostic waxing.

  Pacientes saudáveis que necessitavam de restaurações do tipo laminado cerâmico na região compreendida entre os dentes 15 a 25; com dentes íntegros e em boa condição de saúde periodontal atestada por exame clínico e radiográfico; com a necessidade de fechamento de diastemas; eliminação de espaços mortos; correções de forma e contorno dental com justificativa estética e/ou funcional atestada por enceramento diagnóstico.

  Periodontal disease active at the time of screening; structural damage to gingival architecture; pregnancy; diabetes mellitus; autoimmune diseases; other uncontrolled systemic changes with a damaging effect on gingival tissues; continuous medication users; presence of hormonal or vitamin deficiency; patients with a history of recent use of anti-inflammatories or antibiotics.

  Expected outcome 1: Evaluate the behavior of periodontal tissue by analyzing the amount of biomarkers and the volume of Gingival Crevicular Fluid (GCF) with additional verification of the adaptation and marginal behavior of the restoration, in teeth restored with 0.2mm thick thin ceramic veneers on the cervical edge, cemented over teeth without wear on the cervical portion and presenting a cervical border positioned inside the gingival sulcus. 73 maxillary teeth will be treated with ceramic laminates in monolithic lithium disilicate. For all elements, the GCF will be collected prior to cementation (baseline) and at the time of the study (t0- 7 days, t1 - 15 days, t2 - 30, t3 - 60 days, t4 180 days and t5 365 days), where the volume of GCF will be calculated and the biomarkers quantified: TNF-a, MMP-8, IL-1B, TGF-B and IL-6 by ELISA. The neighboring or antagonist tooth will be used as a control. The null hypotheses are that: The levels of biomarkers will not be altered after the installation of ceramic laminates and that The overlapping of the installed part will not be harmful to the periodontal tissue in the long term.

Para todos os elementos será feita a coleta do GCF previamente à cimentação (baseline) e nos tempos do estudo (t0- 7 dias, t1 - 15 dias, t2 - 30, t3 - 60 dias, t4 180 dias e t5 365 dias), onde será calculado o volume do GCF e quantificado os biomarcadores: TNF-a, MMP-8, IL-1B, TGF-B e IL-6por ELISA. O dente vizinho ou antagonista será utilizado como controle. As hipótese nulas são que: Os níveis de biomarcadores não serão alterados após a instalação dos laminados cerâmicos e que O sobrecontorno da peça instalada não será prejudicial ao tecido periodontal em longo prazo.

  Found outcome: No significant statistical differences in (Gingival Crevicular Fluid) GCF volume were noticed over time or between control and restored groups. TNF-a decreased significantly in restored group at 7, 15, 30, 60, 180 and 365 days. The both groups showed significant statistical differences in the baseline time in comparison to 365 days. MMP-8 showed significant statistical differences between restored group in the baseline time in comparison to the same group at 30 and 60 days and in comparison, to control group at 15, 30 and 60 days. IL-1B increased significantly in restored group at 365 days in comparison to both groups at baseline, 7, 15, 30, 60 and 180 days. TGF-B increased significantly in restored group from baseline to 15 days and decreased significantly at 180 and 365 days. IL-6 showed significant statistical differences between restored group in comparison to the same group at baseline, 7 and 180 days. For MMP-8, IL-1B, TGF-B and IL-6 there were no significant statistical differences between the both groups at baseline and 365 days.

  Expected outcome 2: Replicas of the cervical region will be obtained in epoxy resin, in 7 days (t0) and 180 days (t4) to check the marginal adaptation in a scanning electron microscope. The clinical evaluation was performed according to the modified USPHS criteria at the time of the study and with 1 year of follow-up (t5). It is expected that there will be no bubbles, cracks and discontinuity points in the cementation line, without prejudice to the adaptation of the restoration to the tooth.

  Desfecho esperado 2: Serão obtidas réplicas da região cervical em resina epóxi, em com 7 dias (t0) e 180 dias (t4) para verificação da adaptação marginal em microscópio eletrônico de varredura. A avaliação clínica foi realizada pelos critérios modificados do USPHS nos tempos do estudo e com 1 ano de acompanhamento (t5). Espera-se que não haja bolhas, trincas e pontos de descontinuidade na linha de cimentação, sem prejuízos a adaptação da restauração ao dente.

  Found outcome 2: The qualitative evaluation of the facial axial contour showed a continuing finish line, like a knife-edge finish line, similar to a tooth without restoration. There was no noticed discontinuity in the cementation line of the ceramic veneers, neither alteration in the cervical edge. All elements obtained alpha concept for marginal adaptation.

  Desfecho encontrado 2: A avaliação qualitativa do contorno axial vestibular mostrou uma linha de chegada contínua, como uma lâmina de faca, semelhante a um dente sem restauração. Não se constatou descontinuidade na linha de cimentação das facetas cerâmicas, nem alteração na borda cervical. Todos os elementos obtiveram o conceito alfa para adaptação marginal.
