  Experimental group (27 women with fibromyalgia) and control group (31 women with fibromyalgia). The experimental group underwent a program of health education called Inter - Relational School of Fibromyalgia. The control group (no treatment) did not receive any intervention. The intervention consisted of a program of health education, offered in lectures that aimed to teach the fibromyalgia patients, strategies to deal with the main symptoms of this condition. The topics discussed with patients during the class were: 1)therapeutic contract and workshop of the senses, 2)mental preparation, 3)physical preparation, 4)stress and individuality, 5)symptoms, 6)nutrition, 7)effects of chronicity, 8)available treatments and 9)retrospective. The intervention program lasted 11 weeks, the classes were once a week, on Saturday, from 08am to 10am. Between the sixth and seventh week there was a break of 15 days for patients in treatment could incorporate the strategies already taught to their daily lives, becoming more independent.

  Grupo experimental (27 mulheres com fibromialgia) e grupo controle (31 mulheres com fibromialgia). O grupo experimental foi submetido a um programa de educação em saúde denominado Escola Inter-Relacional de Fibromialgia. O grupo controle (sem tratamento) não recebeu qualquer tipo de intervenção. A intervenção consistiu de um programa de educação em saúde, oferecido em formato de aulas expositivas que visaram ensinar à pacientes com fibromialgia, estratégias para lidar com os principais sintomas desta condição. Os temas abordados com as pacientes durante as aulas foram: 1) contrato terapêutico e oficina dos sentidos, 2) preparação mental, 3) preparação física, 4) estresse e individualidade, 5) sintomatologia, 6) nutrição, 7) efeitos da cronicidade, 8) tratamentos disponíveis e 9)retrospectiva. O programa de intervenção teve duração de 11 semanas, as aulas ocorreram uma vez por semana, aos sábados, de 08h às 10h da manhã. Entre a sexta e a sétima semana ocorreu uma pausa de 15 dias para que as pacientes em tratamento pudessem incorporar as estratégias já ensinadas ao seu cotidiano, tornando-se mais independentes.
