  The Limbic Tap will be applied once in each of the participants of the Treated Group (GT) n = 25, with a duration of five minutes. The Limbic Tap will be performed in an active way by one of the researchers, trained and trained to do so. In the GT the volunteer will remain lying on a stretcher, in dorsal decubitus, with her hips and knees bent, feet supported, arms along the body and with eyes closed. The researcher will remain seated near the patient's cephalic region, with the hands positioned in the suboccipital region of the patient, between the occipital and the C1 vertebra. The maneuvers that will be used by the professional are techniques of circular sliding counterclockwise and shear with very slow pace, with both hands in a prayer position, with the palm of the hand up, relaxed and with the patient's head resting on the hands of the therapist. Participants in the Untried Group (GNT) n = 15 will also be absent from their jobs during the journey and will remain in the same position for the same period of time as the GT participants. However, the limbic touch technique will not be applied to GNT participants. Participants in these groups will provide saliva samples before and after the resting period of five minutes, respecting the same collection protocol. For this, a piece of cotton will be under the volunteer's tongue for a period of five minutes prior to application of the technique . After this time the cotton will be carefully removed and kneaded by the researcher in order to transfer the cotton saliva into a 1.5 ml Eppendorf tube. Research volunteers will be instructed not to eat, drink, smoke, or use oral hygiene products for one hour prior to data collection to avoid contamination of samples. Then the tubes will be centrifuged, the supernatant will be aspirated and stored in freezer at -20ºC until the moment of the analyzes. The measurement of cortisol levels will be done by means of a Commercial Immunoenzymatic Assay Kit (ELISA) with plates previously sensitized with anti-antibodies. Heart rate variability (HRV) will be measured concurrently with periods in which the volunteer will be using the cotton in the mouth to measure cortisol levels. Or during the five minutes that will precede the intervention and during the first five minutes after the intervention ends. Heart rate variability will be measured using a special heart rate monitor (Polar Heart Monitor V800), which will be located in the lower third of the sternum of the volunteer. After collecting the data of the cardio-frequency, the R-R intervals of each of the workers will be recorded. The HRV analysis will result in values of three components: LowFrequency - LF, High Frequency - HF, in the following Heartz units, milliseconds squared and in percentage.

  O Toque límbico será aplicado uma única vez em cada uma das participantes do Grupo Tratado(GT)n=25, com duração de cinco minutos.O Toque Límbico será realizado de forma ativa por um dos pesquisadores, capacitado e treinado para tal. No GT a voluntária permanecerá deitada em uma maca, em decúbito dorsal, com o quadril e joelhos fletidos, pés apoiados, braços ao longo do corpo e com os olhos fechados. A pesquisadora permanecerá sentada próxima à região cefálica do paciente, com as mãos posicionadas na região suboccipital do mesmo, entre o occipital e a vértebra C1 . As manobras que serão utilizadas pelo profissional são técnicas de deslizamentos circulares no sentido anti-horário e de cisalhamento com ritmo muito lento, com as duas mãos em posição de prece, com a palma da mão para cima, relaxada e com a cabeça do paciente repousando sobre as mãos do terapeuta. Os participantes do Grupo Não Tratado (GNT) n=15, também irão se ausentar de seus postos de trabalho durante a jornada e irão permanecer deitados pelo mesmo período de tempo e na mesma posição que os participantes do GT. Entretanto, a técnica de toque límbico não será aplicada nos participantes do GNT. Os participantes desses grupos irão fornecer amostras de saliva antes e após o período de repouso de cinco minutos, respeitando o mesmo protocolo de coleta.Para tanto, um pedaço de algodão ficará sob a língua do voluntário pelo período de cinco minutos antes da aplicação da técnica. Após este tempo, o algodão será cuidadosamente retirado e amassado pelo pesquisador a fim de transferir a saliva do algodão para um tubo Eppendorf de 1,5 ml. Os voluntários da pesquisa serão instruídos a não comerem, beberem, fumarem ou usarem produtos de higiene oral durante uma hora antes da coleta dos dados, para evitar contaminação das amostras. Em seguida, os tubos serão centrifugados, o sobrenadante será aspirado e estocado em freezer a temperatura de -20ºC até o momento das análises. A mensuração dos níveis de cortisol será feita pro meio de um Kit de Ensaio Imunoenzimático (ELISA) comercial com placas previamente sensibilizadas com anticorpos anticortisol. A variabilidade da frequência cardíaca (VFC) será mensurada concomitantemente aos períodos em que o voluntário estará com o algodão na boca para mensuração dos níveis de cortisol. Ou durante os cinco minutos que precederão a intervenção e durante os primeiros cinco minutos após o término da intervenção. A variabilidade da frequência cardíaca será mensurada por meio de um cardiofrequêncimetro especial (Monitor Cardíaco Polar V800), cuja a cinta ficará localizada no terço inferior do esterno do voluntário. Depois de coletado os dados do cardiofrequêncimetro serão gravados os intervalos R-R de cada um dos trabalhadores. A análise da VFC resultará em valores de três componentes: LowFrequency - LF, High Frequency - HF, Relação LowFrequency/ High FrequencyLF/HF)nas seguintes unidades Heartz, milissegundos ao quadrado e em porcentagem.

  The inclusion criteria were confection workers of the city of Candeias female aged between 20 and 50 years of any educational level with a daily workload of eight hours who agreed to participate voluntarily in the research and who have not used any type of medication in the last month except contraception.

  The criteria for non-inclusion were confection workers who were pregnant or breastfeeding who were using or who used any non-contraceptive medication in the last month who did not achieve a minimum score of 13 points in the Mental State Mini Examination ( MMSE) if they are illiterate or 19 points are read. The exclusion criteria were those who did not feel well during the technique and those who for any reason wished to withdraw from the research regardless of the phase of the study.
