  It is a quasi-experimental study, that is, the study presents a comparison between the conditions before and after the intervention between the same group. An educational booklet entitled "wires that connect and disconnect mother and child in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit" with at least 100 mothers will be applied. Mothers will be followed up for a period of 2 weeks. Comparison-among the same group of mothers, three moments will be compared: before, first and second week after the intervention, based on the following outcomes: link between mother and newborn and stress level. The level of maternal knowledge will also be compared from a semi-structured form applied before the intervention and after 2 days of the educational booklet.

  Trata-se de um estudo quase-experimental, ou seja, o estudo apresenta a comparação entre as condições antes e depois da intervenção entre o mesmo grupo. Será aplicada uma cartilha educativa intitulada: "fios que ligam e desligam mãe e filho em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal" com no mínimo 100 mães. As mães serão acompanhadas por um período de 2 semanas. Comparação-entre o mesmo grupo de mães, será comparado três momentos: antes, primeira e segunda semana após a intervenção, com base nos seguintes desfechos: vínculo entre a mãe e RN e nível de estresse. Também será comparado o nível de conhecimento materno a partir de um formulário semi-estruturado aplicado antes da intervenção e após 2 dias da cartilha educativa.

  The sample will consist of the mother-child binomial in NICU with Gestational Age between 31 weeks and 36 weeks and 6 days. The booklet will be applied to mothers of newborns during the first three days of hospitalization of the baby in the NICU.

  Mothers with less than 8 years of education required to understand the educational booklet, mothers of preterm or congenital malformations and term newborns with hypoglycemia or mild respiratory discomfort are excluded since it is necessary in the least 8 days of follow-up in the survey. For the non-participating observation phase, mothers who do not have a frequency of visits of at least 3x per week will be excluded.

  Serão excluídas as mães com menos de 8 anos de estudo, exigido para o entendimento da cartilha educativa, mães de recém-nascidos prematuros extremos ou com má formação congênita e recém-nascidos a termo com hipoglicemia ou leve desconforto respiratório uma vez que é necessário no mínimo 8 dias de acompanhamento na pesquisa. Para a fase de observação não participante, serão excluídas mães que não apresentem frequência de visitas de pelo menos 3x por semana.

  The variable Varius will be measured from the scale of the signs of bond of Sanches, 2000 adapted by Melo, 2008, composed of 5 items, to quote: RN a) Signs of autonomy: autonomous (2); little autonomous (1); dependent (0). b) State of consciousness: alert or semi-alert (2); drowsiness or light sleep (1); alarming crying or deep sleep (0). Mother a) How to hold the RN: hold firm, confident (2); holds the RN somewhat loose (1); secure very loose, without confidence (0). b) Attention to the RN face: eye contact (2); little eye contact (1); absence of eye contact (0). c) Physical tones of the mother in the NB: frequent mother taps (2); sporadic touches (1); absence of touches (0). In relation to this scale, the maximum mark is two (2) points in each item referring to the appropriate observed conditions, that is, the closest to the ideal; one (1) point indicates intermediate conditions and zero (0) indicates inadequate conditions.  In this research will be considered for the evaluation of the link the sum total of the 5 items, that is, ten (10) points, and will be considered the link establishment between the binomial a score greater than or equal to 7 points, and not establishment of inferior link to 7, thus being dichotomously: Yes (greater than or equal to 7) and No (less than 7).

  A varíavel Vinculo será mensurada a partir da escala de sinais de vínculo de Sanches, 2000 adaptada por Melo, 2008, composto por 5 itens, a citar: RN a) Sinais de autonomia: autônomo (2); pouco autônomo (1); dependente (0). b) Estado de consciência: alerta ou semi alerta (2); sonolência ou sono leve (1); choro alarmante ou sono profundo (0). Mãe a) Modo de segurar o RN: segura firme, confiante (2); segura o RN um pouco frouxo (1); segura muito frouxo, sem confiança (0). b) Atenção ao rosto do RN: contato olho no olho (2); pouco contato olho no olho (1); ausência de contato olho no olho (0). c) Toques físicos da mãe no RN: toques da mãe frequentes (2); toques esporádicos (1); ausência de toques (0). Em relação a esta escala, a marcação máxima é de dois (2) pontos em cada item referente às condições observadas adequadas, ou seja, a mais próxima do ideal; um (1) ponto indica condições intermediárias e zero (0) indica condições inadequadas. Nesta pesquisa será considerado para a avaliação do vínculo a soma total dos 5 itens, ou seja, dez (10) pontos, e será considerado o estabelecimento de vínculo entre o binômio uma pontuação maior ou igual a 7 pontos, e não estabelecimento de vínculo inferior a 7, sendo assim de forma dicotômica: Sim (maior ou igual a 7) e Não (inferior a 7).

  Stress: In this instrument the mothers will indicate if they experienced stress on each item, on a scale "1" refers to non-stressful, "2" a little stressful, "3" moderately stressful, "4" very stressful and "5" extremely stressful ( SOUZA, DUPAS and BALIEIRO; 2012). It will be measured by metric 1: Stress Occurrence Level - this is the stress level at which the situation occurs. In this case, only those who quoted have passed through the experience received a note in the item; those who reported not having experienced this are coded as absent. Scale scores will be calculated by the average of stress responses on related items in each (7 items). The denominator for obtaining the mean for each scale is the number of items that the parent experienced in each item (SOUZA, DUPAS and BALIEIRO, 2012).

  Estresse: Neste instrumento as mães irão indicar se experimentaram estresse em cada item, em uma escala do tipo Likert em que a pontuação varia entre 1 e 5. A pontuação “1” refere-se a não estressante, “2” um pouco estressante, “3” moderadamente estressante, “4” muito estressante e “5” extremamente estressante (SOUZA, DUPAS e BALIEIRO; 2012). Será medida pela métrica 1: Nível de Ocorrência de Estresse - esse é o nível de estresse em que a situação ocorre. Neste caso, apenas aqueles que citaram ter passado pela experiência receberam uma nota no item; os que relataram não ter experimentado isso são codificados como ausentes. As notas da escala serão calculadas pela média das respostas com estresse nos itens relacionados em cada uma (7 itens). O denominador para a obtenção da média para cada escala é o número dos itens que o genitor experimentou em cada item (SOUZA, DUPAS e BALIEIRO; 2012).

  Knowledge: Identification of the information received about the NICU, location of information, what information the mothers deemed most important and why, the functions of the NICU equipment and what care they can offer their children during hospitalization. The same questionnaire will be applied before and after the educational booklet.

  Conhecimento: Identificação das informações recebidas sobre a UTIN, local de informação, quais as informações que as mães julgaram mais importantes e porque, as funções dos equipamentos da UTIN e quais os cuidados que elas podem oferecer aos filhos durante a hospitalização.
