  In the CONTROL GROUP (GC): In the first group, the 47 professionals who are members of the nursing team of this group will perform a pre-test to evaluate the psychomotor skills in the care of the babies in the Baby Anne manikin (Laerdal®) through a Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) skills test. After this moment they will receive theoretical and practical training on CPR maneuvers in infants with an American Heart Association (AHA) instructional teacher and the Baby Anne manikin (Laerdal®). At that moment they will carry out practical training of the CPR maneuvers. All this time will last 60 minutes and professionals will receive feedback on the training. After 15 days of the first intervention, in the second moment, the professionals will be reassessed through an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) skills test, similar to that applied in the pre-test and will receive feedback on their performance in the CPR care in infants. In the INTERVENTION GROUP (GI): Initially, in the first intervention, the other 47 professionals members of the nursing team of this group will perform a pre-test for the evaluation of the psychomotor skills in the care of PCR in infants in the Baby Anne manikin (Laerdal®) through An Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) skills test. After this time they will receive video training on CPR maneuvers in infants according to the American Heart Association (AHA) instructions recorded by the researchers. At that moment, in an autodidact manner, they will perform practical training of the CPR maneuvers on the Baby Anne manikin (Laerdal®). All this time will last one hour and will not receive feedback on the training. After 15 days of the first intervention, in the second intervention, the professionals will be re-evaluated through an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) test, similar to that applied in the pre-test and will receive feedback on their performance in the CPR care in infants. The control and intervention groups will have their performances in the OSCE compared in the pre and post test to see the effect of the different training methods (self-taught and conventional training).

  No GRUPO CONTROLE (GC): Inicialmente, na primeira intervenção, os 47 profissionais membros da equipe de enfermagem desse grupo realizarão um pré-teste para avaliação das habilidades psicomotoras no atendimento a PCR em bebês no manequim Baby Anne (Laerdal®) através de uma prova de habilidades do tipo Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Após este momento receberão capacitação teórico-prática sobre as manobras de RCP em bebês com professor instrutor da American Heart Association (AHA) e no manequim Baby Anne (Laerdal®). Nesse momento realizarão treinamento prático das manobras de RCP. Todo este momento terá duração de 60 minutos e os profissionais receberão feedback sobre a capacitação. Passados 15 dias da 1ª intervenção, no segundo momento, os profissionais serão reavaliados através de uma prova de habilidades do tipo Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) (Pós-teste), idêntica a aplicada no pré-teste e receberão feedback sobre seu desempenho no atendimento a RCP em bebês. Após este momento receberão capacitação através de vídeo sobre as manobras de RCP em bebês de acordo com as instruções da American Heart Association (AHA) gravado pelas pesquisadoras. Nesse momento, de modo autodidata, realizarão treinamento prático das manobras de RCP no manequim Baby Anne (Laerdal®). Todo este momento terá duração de uma hora e não receberão feedback sobre a capacitação. Passados 15 dias da 1ª intervenção, na segunda intervenção, os profissionais serão reavaliados através de uma prova de habilidades do tipo Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) (Pós-teste), idêntica a aplicada no pré-teste e receberão feedback sobre seu desempenho no atendimento a RCP em bebês. Os grupos controle e intervenção terão seus desempenhos no OSCE comparados no pré e pós teste para ver o efeito dos diferentes métodos de capacitação (autodidata e treino convencional).

  Expected outcome: Nursing staff members who receive training with an instructor (teacher) and receive feedback on their performance in providing basic life support in infants will perform better (note) on performing the structured target (OSCE) clinical examination when compared to the self-taught training group that does not receive feedback on their performance during training and the OSCE. In order to evaluate the expected outcome, inferential statistics will be performed in which the intervention and control groups will be compared in terms of the OSCE performance score in the pre and post test. Subsequently, the groups (control and intervention) will be compared to each other regarding the score in the performance of the post-test (evaluation of psychomotor skills). It will be adopted p <0.05 as significant and the effect sizes will be checked for each test.

  Desfecho esperado: Membros da equipe de enfermagem que receberem capacitação com instrutor (professor) e que receberem feedback sobre seu desempenho no atendimento de suporte básico de vida em bebês terão melhor desempenho (nota) na realização do exame clínico objetivo estruturado (OSCE) quando comparado ao grupo que fizer treino autodidata e que não receber feedback sobre seu desempenho durante capacitação e OSCE. Para avaliar o desfecho esperado será realizado estatística inferencial em que os grupos intervenção e controle serão comparados quanto a nota na realização do OSCE no pré e no pós teste. Posteriormente, os grupos (controle e intervenção) serão comparados entre si quanto a pontuação na realização do pós teste (avaliação de habilidades psicomotoras). Será adotado p < 0,05 como significante e serão aferidos os tamanhos de efeito para cada teste.

  The performance (note) fifteen days after both OSCE interventions will be different between the groups. Inferential statistics will be performed in which the intervention and control groups will be compared in the baseline: - the demographic characteristics: age, gender, ethnicity, training time, schooling. To the scores present in each statement of psychomotor skills assessment (pre-test) in order to see if there are differences in ability between groups. For this, chi-square tests (categorical variables) and t-tests for independent measurements (continuous variables) will be applied. Subsequently, the groups (control and intervention) will be compared to each other regarding the score in the performance of the post-test (evaluation of psychomotor skills). It will be adopted p <0.05 as significant and the effect sizes will be checked for each test.

  O desempenho (nota) quinze dias após ambas intervenções com a realização do OSCE será diferente entre os grupos. Será realizada estatística inferencial em que os grupos intervenção e controle serão comparados no baseline: - quanto as características demográficas: idade, gênero, etnia, tempo de formado, escolaridade. -quanto aos escores presentes em cada afirmativa da avaliação de habilidades psicomotoras (pré teste) no intuito de ver se existem diferenças de habilidades entre os grupos. Para isso, serão aplicados os testes do qui quadrado (variáveis categóricas) e teste t para medidas independentes (variáveis contínuas). Posteriormente, os grupos (controle e intervenção) serão comparados entre si quanto a pontuação na realização do pós teste (avaliação de habilidades psicomotoras). Será adotado p < 0,05 como significante e serão aferidos os tamanhos de efeito para cada teste.
