  Intervention group: 38 pregnant women will receive the kinesio taping bandage in the lower back, in the location of the pain referred by the pregnant woman. Control group (placebo): 38 pregnant women will receive the bandage transversely to the lumbar spine, above the painful that region. The participants of both groups shall remain with the bandages for seven days. After, there will be a new application of the bandage, totaling two applications. On admission, 7 and 14 days, will be held from pain and dysfunction evaluations. The designation of the groups will be held from randomized manner. At study end, if there is significant pain improvement in the intervention group, will be offered to the control group the same treatment.

  Grupo de intervenção: 38 mulheres grávidas receberão a bandagem kinesio taping na região da coluna lombar, sob a localização da dor referida pela gestante. Grupo controle (placebo): 38 mulheres receberão a bandagem kinesio taping transversalmente na coluna lombar, acima da região dolorosa referida. As participantes dos dois grupos deverão permanecer com as bandagens por sete dias. Após, será realizada uma nova aplicação da bandagem, que deve permanecer na pele por mais sete dias, totalizando duas aplicações. Na admissão no estudo, 7 e 14 dias após, serão realizadas avaliações de dor e disfunção. A designação dos grupos será realizada de forma aleatorizada. Ao final do estudo, se houver melhora significativa da dor no grupo de intervenção, será oferecido ao grupo controle o mesmo tratamento.

  Pathology of the spine; urinary tract infection; pathology that limits daily activities; cognitive impairment; dermatitis or infection in the banding application site; known allergy to the material of the bandage.

  Back pain before and after each application of the bandage, assessed using the short version of the McGill pain questionnaire, and observed from the mean difference / median and percentages between groups.
