This observational study intends to perform a comparative genetic and biochemical analysis of blood samples from 1.761 COVID-19 patients already cured (symptomatic or asymptomatic) and uninfected individuals, and to correlate such symptomatic profiles with polymorphisms of the ACE1 and ACE2 enzymes. For this, samples of whole blood from 1500 patients will be collected and questionnaires will be applied to these patients, to build a database. Subsequently, with the samples obtained, it is intended to carry out the determination of enzymatic activity and concentration of the RAAS peptides, polymorphism analysis by PCR and analysis by large-scale DNA genotyping.

Este estudo observacional pretende realizar uma análise genética e bioquímica comparativa de amostras de sangue de 1.761 pacientes de COVID-19 já curados (sintomáticos ou assintomáticos) e indivíduos não infectados, e correlacionar tais perfis sintomáticos com polimorfismos das enzimas ECA1 e ECA2. Para isso serão coletadas amostras de sangue total de 1500 pacientes e aplicados questionarios a estes pacientes, para contrução de banco de dados. Posteriormente, com as amostras obtidas, pretende-se realizar a determinação de atividade enzimática e concentração dos peptídeos do SRAA, análise de polimorfismos por PCR e análise por genotipagem de DNA em larga escala.
