  112 volunteers, randomly divided into seven groups, submitted to three in office bleaching sessions with an interval of one week between them according the gel storage conditions (n=16): G1 ( control) initial condition of gel; G2- Gel stored for 3 months at 10 ° C; G3- Gel stored for 3 months at 25 ° C; G4- Gel stored for 3 months at 40 ° C; G5- Gel stored 6 months at 10 ° C; G6- Gel stored 6 months at 25 ° C; G7- Gel stored for 6 months at 40 ° C. Sensitivity evaluation (Visual Analogue Scale - VAS; Verbal Evaluation Scale - VRS) and color (Vita Easyshade: CIE Lab and CIEDE 2000) will be performed in the times before bleaching, after the first, second and third week of bleaching, one week and one month after the end of the whitening and qualitative analysis of the whitened enamel surface through SEM. The chemical analysis of the gel will be performed through the quantification of hydrogen peroxide.

  Serão utilizados 112 voluntários, submetidos à três sessões de clareamento de consultório realizadas com o intervalo de uma semana entre elas, divididos aleatoriamente em sete grupos (16 voluntários em cada grupo) variando as condições de armazenamento do gel (n=16): G1 (controle) – Gel em condição inicial; G2- Gel armazenado 3 meses à 10°C; G3- Gel armazenado 3 meses à 25°C; G4- Gel armazenado 3 meses à 40°C; G5- Gel armazenado 6 meses à 10° C; G6- Gel armazenado 6 meses à 25°C; G7- Gel armazenado 6 meses à 40°C. O gel será aplicado três vezes na superfície durante quinze minutos totalizando quarenta e cinco minutos . Será realizada avaliação da sensibilidade (Escala Visual Análoga- VAS; Escala de Avaliação Verbal – VRS) e da cor (Vita Easyshade: CIE Lab e CIEDE 2000) nos tempos antes do clareamento, após a primeira, segunda e terceira semana do clareamento, uma semana e um mês após o término do clareamento e análise qualitativa da superfície do esmalte clareado através do MEV. A análise química do gel será realizada através da quantificação de peróxido de hidrôgenio.

  To be included in this study, males and females participants must be age 18 years or older and be in good general and oral health, healthy maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth, no cervical lesions, no white spot lesions or caries, and no periodontal disease. The maxillary central incisors of each patient will be evaluated, specifically the médium third of the facial surface. These teeth must present color A2 or higher, according to the Vita scale (VITA Classic, Vita Zahnfabrik, Bad Sackingen, Germany) and Vita Easyshade (Vident,Brea, CA, USA).

  Voluntários do sexo feminino e masculino com idade entre 18 e 30 anos com boas condições de saúde bucal e geral, cujos incisivos centrais superiores serão avaliados (terço médio da face vestibular) e deverão apresentar uma matiz de cor A e croma com valor de 2 ou superior de acordo com a escala Vita (VITA Classic, VITA Zahnfabrik, Bad Sa¨ ckingen, Alemanha) e Vita Easyshade (Easyshade Vident, Brea, CA, EUA) com as medições realizadas sob mesma iluminação e na mesma sala pelos mesmos dois examinadores, que registrarão a cor inicial.

  The exclusion criteria were participants needing endodontic treatment or those with nonvital teeth,pregnant or breast-feeding women, participants with known allergies to bleaching materials or any other material used in this study, those taking antiinflammatory, analgesic or psychotropic drugs, the presence of restorations in the anterior teeth, parafunctional habits, those with severe internal tooth discoloration (tetracycline stains, fluorosis, pulpless teeth), those who smoked, and those who had undergone tooth-whitening procedures. During the first appointment, tooth sensitivity was measured using an air stream in the cervical region of the anterior teeth and vertical/horizontal percussion. Patients who demonstrated pain (on a verbal scale from 0 to 4) were excluded from the study.

  Dentes não vitais, presença de lesões cervicais, mulheres grávidas ou lactantes, pacientes com alergias conhecidas a materiais clareadores ou qualquer outro material utilizado neste estudo, pacientes que fazem uso de medicamentos antiinflamatórios, analgésicos ou psicotrópicos, presença de restaurações nos dentes anteriores, hábitos parafuncionais, pacientes com mancha branca ou cárie, pacientes com descoloração dentária interna severa (manchas de tetraciclina, fluorose, dentes sem pulmões), fumantes e pacientes que já receberam tratamento clareador; além disso, a sensibilidade dentária será medida utilizando uma corrente de ar na região cervical dos dentes anteriores e percussão vertical / horizontal.

  The primary outcome will be the bleaching efficacy of an in-office bleaching gel by varying the conditions for the storage of the bleaching gel: time (initial, 3 months and 6 months of storage) and temperature (10 ° C, 25 ° C and 40 ° C). Color analysis will be carried out with the CIE Lab and CIEDE 2000 system using a reflectance spectrophotometer (Vita Easyshade, Vident, Brea, CA, USA) at the times described below: Initial, after the first whitening session, after second whitening session, after the third whitening session, after one week and after 1 month. The results of the values obtained will be quantified and subjected to statistical interpretation with a significance level of 5% to verify whether the outcome occurred.

  O desfecho primário será a eficácia clareadora de um gel clareador de consultório mediante a variação com relação as condições de armazenamento do gel clareador: tempo (inicial, 3 meses e 6 meses de armazenamento) e temperatura ( 10°C, 25°C e 40°C). A análise da cor será efetuadacom o sistema CIE Lab e CIEDE 2000 com a utilização de um espectrofotômetro de refletância (Vita Easyshade, Vident, Brea, CA, USA) nos tempos descritos a seguir: Inicial, após a primeira sessão de clareamento, após a segunda sessão de clareamento, após a terceira sessão de clareamento, após uma semana e após 1 mês. Os resultados dos valores obtidos serão quantificados e submetidos à interpretação estatística com nível de significância de 5% para verificar se o desfecho realmente ocorreu.

  The secondary outcome will be the assessment of dental sensitivity of patients undergoing bleaching treatment. Dental sensitivity will be analyzed using the SVE scale (scale of verbal evaluation) and the VAS scale (visual analog scale) in the times before bleaching, after the first, second and third week of bleaching, one week and one month after the end of bleaching and descriptive during treatment. The results will be quantified and subjected to statistical interpretation with a significance level of 5% to verify whether there was a secondary outcome of treatment influence on dental sensitivity.

  O desfecho secundário será obtido a partir da avaliação da sensibilidade dental dos pacientes submetidos ao tratamento clareador. A sensibilidade dental será analisada através da escala EAV (escala de avaliação verbal) e da escala EVA (escala visual análoga) nos tempos antes do clareamento, após a primeira, segunda e terceira semana do clareamento, uma semana e um mês após o término do clareamento e descritiva durante o tratamento. Os resultados serão quantificados e submetidos à interpretação estatística com nível de significância de 5% para verificar se houve o desfecho secundário de influência dos tratamentos na sensibilidade dental.
