  The experimental protocols used in the present study were: The volunteers of the experimental group (sympathetic) received applications for 2 months and 3 weeks, twice a week for 20 minutes, in the following acupoints: sympathetic (analgesic, antipyretic, and general regulator of degenerative diseases); kidney (function on the kidney, gonads, genitals, bones, cramps, gynecological disorders); shen men (sedative, tranquilizer, immune function); ovary (action on the genitals, gynecological, anthological and sexuality disorders); uterus (function on genitals, gynecological and sexual disorders) and endocrine (action in gynecological and circulatory disorders). Participants in the controlled (sympathetic) group also received the same number of applications at the respective points cited. The protocol of the experimental group (liver) received applications for 2 months and 3 weeks, 2 times a week for 20 minutes, which were based on the same acupoints as previously mentioned, with the substitution of sympathetic acupoints by the acupoint liver function in dysfunctions of liver, uterus, muscles, endocrine glands, dysmenorrhea, digestive disorders and depression), whereas in the control group (liver) the same protocols previously mentioned were performed, with the inclusion of the acupoint liver. For both controlled groups (sympathetic and liver), the applications were performed with pieces of micropore at the respective points, simulating auricular therapy applications. For the accomplishment of the protocols studied, the volunteers were placed in a seated position, with the intention of performing the auricular inspection, then the asepsis procedure was performed in the auricular pavilion, through the use of alcohol at 70%, then they were inserted sterile stainless steel needles with standard size (0.25x0.15 mm), unilaterally in the right ear, to which they were inserted with the aid of a guide tube. After the 22 applications.There were 4 groups, three groups with 5 participants and one with six.

  Os protocolos experimentais utilizados no presente estudo foram: As voluntárias do grupo experimental (simpático), receberam aplicações durante 2 meses e 3 semanas, 2 vezes por semanas, por 20 minutos, nos seguintes acupontos: simpático (ação analgésica, antitérmica, e regulador geral de doenças degenerativas); rim (função sobre o rim, gônadas, genitais, ossos, cólicas, distúrbios ginecológicos); shen men (função sedativa, tranquilizante, imunológica); ovário (ação nos órgãos genitais, distúrbios ginecológicos, antológicos e de sexualidade); útero (função sobre genitais, distúrbios ginecológicos e da sexualidade) e endócrino (ação em distúrbios ginecológicos e circulatórias). As participantes do grupo controlado (simpático), também receberam o mesmo número de aplicações nos respectivos pontos citados. Já o protocolo do grupo experimental (fígado) receberam aplicações durante 2 meses e 3 semanas, 2 vezes por semanas, por 20 minutos, os quais foram baseados nos mesmos acupontos citados anteriormente, com a substituição do acuponto simpático, pelo acuponto fígado (que apresenta função em disfunções de fígado, útero, músculos, glândulas endócrinas, dismenorreia, distúrbios digestivos e depressão), enquanto que no grupo controle (fígado) foram realizados os mesmos protocolos citados anteriormente, com a inclusão do acuponto fígado. Para ambos os grupos controlados (simpático e fígado), as aplicações eram realizadas com pedaços de micropore nos respectivos pontos, simulando as aplicações de auriculoterapia. Para realização dos protocolos estudados, as voluntárias foram posicionadas em posição sentada, com o intuito da realização da inspeção auricular, em seguida, foi executado o procedimento de assepsia no pavilhão auricular, através do uso de álcool a 70%, em seguida, foram inseridas agulhas estéreis, de aço inoxidável, com tamanho padrão (0.25x0.15 mm), unilateralmente na orelha direita, a as quais foram inseridas com auxilio de um tubo de guiamento. Ao fim das 22 aplicações. Foram 4 grupos , três grupos com 5 participantes e um com seis.

  The study included women with sedentary ages ranging from 18 to 25 years old with PD diagnosis; according to the nondigorous PD guideline; with a history of a regular menstrual cycle (cycle of 27 to 32 days); non-smoker; with availability of time to perform Auriculotherapy applications; not to perform other physiotherapeutic treatments; and those who accepted to participate in the research by signing the Informed Consent Term (TCLE).

  To evaluate the benefits of Auriculotherapy in relation to the reduction of the level of pain and the characteristics of pain, quality of life, sexual function and personal satisfaction in women with primary dysmenorrhoea. Significant pain reduction and changes in pain characteristics were observed as well as personal satisfaction in both intervention groups, where (P = <0.5) presented significant, totally significant and extremely significant results.

  Avaliar os benefícios da Auriculoterapia em relação à redução do nível de dor, e nas características da dor,qualidade de vida, função sexual e satisfação pessoal em mulheres com dismenorreia primária. Foi observado redução significativa da dor, e modificações nas características da dor como também na satisfação pessoal em ambos os grupos de intervenção, onde (P=<0,5) apresentou resultados significativos, totalmente significativos e extremamente significativos.
