  This is a randomized clinical study, with comparative intervention and two arms, one subjected to a gamified educational intervention and the other to an educational intervention with a traditional approach. Participants who are high school students will be randomly allocated to the two groups. Intervention Group: composed of 200 students who will participate in a gamified educational intervention, based on an active methodology. Control Group: composed of 200 students who will participate in an educational intervention with traditional classes. Data collection will be carried out in two moments: at baseline (pre-intervention) and one month after the intervention. Data collectors will remain “blind” to the assignment of participants to the groups. The research will be conducted between March 2025 and August 2025, with high school students from a state school, in a municipality, located in the Central-West region of the State of São Paulo, Brazil, with an estimated population of 235,234 inhabitants. The selected school has 1,050 elementary and high school students, of which 600 attend high school, 400 in the morning and 200 in the evening. It was decided to develop the study with high school students in the morning, considering their greater regularity in class attendance when compared to those who attend the evening. The 400 high school students in the morning will therefore be eligible for the study. It should be noted that this is a pilot study, so the sample size was not calculated, therefore, limiting it to a small number of participants, in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the educational intervention. Inclusion Criteria: Being enrolled in high school; Exclusion Criteria: Students who do not complete the data collection instrument and/or the Free and Informed Consent Form (FICF) and/or the Free and Informed Assent Form (FICF). Data Collection Procedure: To collect data, a Learning Test will initially be administered to participants. The groups will then undergo the interventions and, one month after the interventions have been completed, the Learning Test will be administered again to all participants in order to assess the impact of the educational interventions. The learning test was developed to assess knowledge regarding violence against the elderly. This test consists of five problem situations, addressing different types of violence and the rights of the elderly, each followed by four assertions with three answer options: True (T), False (F), I don't know (DK). The test was developed by three members of a research group focused on violence against the elderly, and was then presented to the other members of the research group for suggestions. In addition, the test was administered by a PIBIC scholarship student from high school and a teacher who teaches in both classes where the tests were administered. This evaluation aimed to verify the adequacy of the language and themes to the level of the target audience. Both evaluators considered that the test was adequately aligned with the characteristics and understanding. The first problem situation aims to explore physical violence against the elderly, in addition to highlighting the family's responsibility for the elderly and the management of health care by the family health unit. In the second problem situation, the analysis focuses on the forms of financial and psychological violence that can negatively impact the life of the elderly. This scenario aims to raise awareness among participants about the complexity of these situations, promoting reflection on the importance of preventive measures and support for victims. The third problem situation focuses on the warning signs that the elderly person may present when faced with situations of violence, including self-neglect. This approach aims to work with the signs of early identification of signs of violence, contributing to a more effective intervention and the promotion of the well-being of the elderly person. The fourth problem situation highlights the importance of the family remaining alert to the warning signs, even when they do not live directly with the elderly person. This perspective seeks to emphasize shared responsibility in protecting the elderly, encouraging the creation of effective support networks. The fifth problem situation addresses the rights of the elderly and highlights how they have preferences in certain environments, such as preferential seating on public transport. Even when apparently healthy, the elderly are more vulnerable to various situations, such as falls, justifying the need to raise awareness in society to promote a more inclusive and safe environment. Through these problem situations, the assessment instrument sought not only to measure the knowledge acquired by the participants, but also to encourage critical reflection on the complexity of violence against the elderly and to promote awareness of the rights and responsibilities related to this vulnerable group. Intervention Group: Participants will carry out activities involving the educational game “Growing Violets – Let’s talk about violence against the elderly?”, a conversation circle and narratives, over three meetings. The game consists of a board, 100 cards, four colored pegs, a dice and an instruction manual. The cards are organized into three difficulty categories (easy, medium and difficult). After undergoing two rounds of validation, the game obtained a Content Validity Coefficient (CVC) of 0.98. Control Group: Participants will participate in three meetings with traditional classes on the topic. Data analysis: The Student’s t-test for independent samples will be used to compare means. The significance level adopted will be 5%, and the data will be analyzed using SPSS software.

  Trata-se de um estudo clínico randomizado, com intervenção comparativa e de dois braços, sendo um submetido a intervenção educativa gamificada e o outro a uma intervenção educativa com abordagem tradicional. Os participantes que são estudantes do ensino médio, serão alocados nos dois grupos aleatoriamente. Grupo de Intervenção: composto por 200 estudantes que participarão de uma intervenção educativa gamificada, baseada em metodologia ativa. Grupo Controle: composto por 200 estudantes que participarão de uma intervenção educativa com aulas tradicionais. A coleta de dados será realizada em dois momentos: na linha de base (pré- intervenção) e um mês após a intervenção. Os coletores de dados permanecerão “cegos” quanto à atribuição dos participantes aos grupos. A pesquisa será realizada entre março de 2025 e agosto de 2025, com estudantes do ensino médio de uma escola estadual, de um município, localizado na região Centro-Oeste do Estado de São Paulo, Brasil, com uma população estimada de 235.234 habitantes. A escola selecionada conta com 1050 estudantes do ensino fundamental e Médio, destes 600 frequentam o ensino médio, 400 no período matutino e 200 no período noturno. Optou-se por desenvolver o estudo com os estudantes do ensino médio do período matutino, considerando a maior regularidade da frequência às aulas, quando comparado com aqueles que frequentam o período noturno. Os 400 estudantes do ensino médio do período da manhã, portanto, serão aqueles elegíveis para o estudo. Ressalta-se que este é um estudo piloto, por isso não foi calculado o tamanho amostral, limitando-se, portanto, a um pequeno número de participantes, com vistas a demonstrar a efetividade da intervenção educativa. Critérios de Inclusão: Estar matriculado no Ensino Médio; Critérios de Exclusão; Estudantes que não preencherem o instrumento de coleta de dados e/ou o Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido (TCLE) e/ou Termo de Assentimento Livre e Esclarecido (TALE). Procedimento de Coleta de Dados: Para a coleta de dados, inicialmente será aplicado um Teste de Aprendizagem aos participantes. Na sequência os grupos serão submetidos às intervenções e, pós um mês da conclusão das intervenções, o Teste de Aprendizagem será reaplicado para todos os participantes, visando avaliar o impacto das intervenções educativas. O teste de aprendizagem foi desenvolvido com a finalidade de avaliar o conhecimento referente à violência contra a pessoa idosa. Este teste consiste em cinco situações-problema, com a abordagem de diferentes tipos de violência e direito das pessoas idosas, cada uma delas seguida por quatro assertivas com três opções de respostas: Verdadeiro (V), Falso (F), Não sei (NS). O teste foi elaborado por três integrantes de um grupo de pesquisa voltado para a violência contra a pessoa idosa, após foi colocado para os demais integrantes do grupo de pesquisa para sugestões. Além disso, o teste passou por uma estudante bolsista PIBIC do ensino médio e uma professora que leciona em ambas as turmas onde os testes foram aplicados. Essa avaliação teve como objetivo verificar a adequação da linguagem e das temáticas ao nível do público-alvo. Ambas as avaliadoras consideraram que o teste estava adequadamente alinhado com as características e compreensão. A primeira situação-problema tem como objetivo explorar a violência física contra a pessoa idosa, além de destacar a responsabilidade da família sobre a pessoa idosa e a gestão dos cuidados de saúde pela unidade de saúde da família. Na segunda situação-problema, a análise concentra-se nas formas de violência financeira e psicológica que podem impactar negativamente a vida da pessoa idosa. Este cenário pretende sensibilizar os participantes para a complexidade dessas situações, promovendo a reflexão sobre a importância de medidas preventivas e de apoio às vítimas. A terceira situação-problema concentra-se nos sinais de alerta que a pessoa idosa pode apresentar diante de situações de violência, incluindo a autonegligência. Essa abordagem visa trabalhar com os sinais de identificação precoce dos indícios de violência, contribuindo para uma intervenção mais eficaz e a promoção do bem-estar da pessoa idosa. Na quarta situação-problema, destaca-se a relevância da família permanecer atenta aos sinais de alerta, mesmo quando não residem diretamente com a pessoa idosa. Essa perspectiva busca enfatizar a responsabilidade compartilhada na proteção da pessoa idosa, estimulando a criação de redes de apoio eficazes. A quinta situação-problema aborda o direito da pessoa idosa e destaca como ela possui preferências em determinados ambientes, como o assento preferencial em transportes públicos. Mesmo quando aparentemente saudável, a pessoa idosa é mais vulnerável a diversas situações, como quedas, justificando a necessidade de sensibilização da sociedade para promover um ambiente mais inclusivo e seguro. Por meio dessas situações-problema, o instrumento de avaliação buscou não apenas mensurar o conhecimento adquirido pelos participantes, mas também fomentar uma reflexão crítica sobre a complexidade da violência contra a pessoa idosa e promover a conscientização acerca dos direitos e responsabilidades relacionados a esse grupo vulnerável. Grupo de Intervenção: Os participantes realizarão atividades envolvendo o jogo educativo “Cultivando Violetas – Vamos falar sobre a violência contra a pessoa idosa?”, roda de conversa e narrativas, ao longo de três encontros. O jogo é composto por um tabuleiro, 100 cartas, quatro pinos coloridos, um dado e um manual de instruções. As cartas estão organizadas em três categorias de dificuldade (fácil, médio e difícil). Após passar por duas rodadas de validação, o jogo obteve um Coeficiente de Validade de Conteúdo (CVC) de 0,98. Grupo Controle: Os participantes participarão de três encontros com aulas tradicionais sobre o tema. Análise dos dados: Será utilizado o teste t Student para amostras independentes para comparação de médias. O nível de significância adotado será de 5%, e os dados serão analisados no software SPSS
