  Functional electrical stimulation associated with cyclorgometry will be performed in 30 patients undergoing mechanical ventilation in a single evaluation moment, in order to obtain peripheral muscle performance (muscles: quadriceps femoris, hamstrings and tibialis anterior), such as torque, power and electrical cost which will be given by the device itself through self-adhesive electrodes placed in the muscle bellies. In addition, in this group of patients, an evaluation of the safety and feasibility of the protocol used will also be carried out, through the collection of blood taken from the central venous access for analysis of the values ​​of creatinine phosphokinase, obtaining the values ​​before the execution of the protocol, 24, 48 and 72 hours after its execution and the value before and immediately after lactate and central venous saturation. Parallel to this, muscle assessment will be performed (same as the protocol mentioned above) in ten healthy individuals in order to compare the results with those obtained from hospitalized patients

  Estimulação elétrica funcional associada à ciclorgometria será realizada em 30 pacientes submetidos à ventilação mecânica em um único momento de avaliação, a fim de se obter o desempenho muscular periférico (músculos: quadríceps femoral, isquiotibiais e tibial anterior), como torque, potência e custo elétrico, que serão dados pelo próprio aparelho através de eletrodos auto-adesivos colocados nos ventres musculares. Além disso, nesse grupo de pacientes, também será realizada avaliação da segurança e viabilidade do protocolo utilizado, por meio da coleta sanguínea retirada do acesso venoso central para análise dos valores da creatininafosfoquinase, obtendo-se os valores antes da execução do protocolo, 24, 48 e 72h após sua execução e o valor pré e imediatamente após do lactato e da saturação venosa central. Paralelo a isso, será realizada a avaliação muscular (igual ao protocolo dito acima) em 10 indivíduos saudáveis a fim de comparar os resultados com os obtidos dos pacientes internados
